Not sure who you're talking to PJKino... as I said that is the general feeling regarding Self around the scouting circles.. it wasn't simply my opinion.
There have been articles written on it as well. I'm not arguing a point though.. just sharing what scouts think.

Yeah that was sort of my take which is why I raised the point in the first place. I'm just a bit concerned as I haven't heard of any All Stars that have come out of his system - yet.
I would have at least may be picked a coach who's had a good track record of developing stars such as Coach Crean with DWade.
There is just something special about finally seeing the Jazz listed in the top 3 of a 2014 mock draft. I know some sites are more popular, but Marcus Smart at #3 and almost up to Parker and Wiggins is fun to see.

I assume you're trolling.
Coach K has been the best I'd say.
Calipari gets a lot of credit, but it's also obvious he gets the best talent, by far.. so not really fair.
Roy Williams has been one of the very worst... but the worst BY FAR has been Rick Barnes (and save me the Durant argument).

Now don't shoot me but he reminded me of Quincy Lewis on defense with hops.
Coach K hasn't developed an All Star wing though has he, last time I checked?
Coach Crean has DWade.
That site may be the worst of them all.
I like DX the best but they're far from the gospel ..

If we take Smart over Randle or Exum.......
I need to bookmark this for sig material later.
Go ahead but you are cherry picking what I said. I didn't say he was the next Quincy Lewis. I just said that he had an upright stance when defending similar to Quincy Lewis. In the one video, his first college game, he seemed to be too upright and stiff while playing defense. I never said he wouldn't be a good defender. He just didn't look as lateral quick as I thought.
Intended mostly for PKM, but other SMART people can weigh in too.
What players coming out this year would you bet will turn out better than every current Jazz player? Obviously it's hard to say for a lot of reasons, but just for fun and cuz I'm stuck in my car waiting to pick someone up from the airport, what is your best guess? Not who has the potential to be, but who if you had to put money on it will turn out better than every player the Jazz have.
From the little I've read, and highlights I've watched, I'd say...
Wiggins
Parker
Randle
Probably Exum
Haven't watched any of either Harrison.
