What's new

Following potential 2014 draftees

I put it down to his coach - he had a much better demeanour during the Hoop Summit game.

He should have been coached by Tom Crean (He coached DWade, Oladipo).

Can you please go back trying to find the holy spirit in players. Religious nutcases are far more entertaining and likeable than ones who try to impersonate scientists, analysts.

BTW, Duke just crushed the Wildcats!

Well, the Davidson Wildcats, that is.

Steph Curry does not approve.

More of a question for the UGLI:
You're a Utes fan rite? Jarred DuBois? Can he play?(More of an interest on a national competition level ;) )

Just speculating, because I really am intrigued by Andrew Harrison...

Say we end up with the third pick and Wiggins and Parker are off the board. We have Favors signed, and Kanter who will also probably be extended. Do we still take Randle or do we go with Harrison? I think he's underrated by the different draft sites. I think he could end up being one of those dominant big strong and athletic pg's. Isn't drafting Randle a little redundant with the bigs we have? Or maybe I'm underestimating how good randle is, but think people are underestimating how good Harrison will be. Also how much better will Favors and Kanter be with Harrison running the pont?

PKM, I figure you know Randle and Harrison more then others here, what's your take on this? Also if the Jazz choose to pass on Randle, who else other then Harrison would entice the jazz to take over Randle?

Randle. That could change.. but Randle is special.

The ball was spread around a lot.
6 players in double figures and 13 guys logged minutes for UK.

Young - 11pts 4rbs 1ast 1stl 1blk
Andrew Harrison (only played 12 minutes) - 8pts 5asts
Aaron Harrison - 10pts, 5rbs, 4stls
Alex Poythress - 10pts 13rbs
Randle - 23pts, 15rbs
the surprise;
Marcus Lee (in 18 minutes) - 17pts

Aren't you missing someone?

So PKM what is your take on each individual. Does Lee have a jump shot? Is Poythress improved enough to be consider with the GS pick?

Just considering UK players, my rankings for our pick: I am not saying I would pick these guys over other good players.
Randle
Andrew Harrison (PG)
Young
WCS - the center kid

GS pick:

Harrison
Marcus Lee - if he has a jumpshot
Alex Poytress

Randle. That could change.. but Randle is special.

Everything as far as Andrew and Randle for me is speculation as I haven't seen either play.. I've seen more video's of Andrew then Randle. Just have this feeling Andrew could be in the Rose, Westbrook conversation. Am I way off here?

I know you hate player comps, but who would you compare Randle to in the nba?

Thanks PKM.

So, lets say the Jazz get the 3rd pick and Parker/Wiggins are gone. The consensus is Randle is the best player available, so you take him (obviously this all can change). If this comes to happen, then what do you do with Kanter/Favors. Do you keep both and have the nastiest PF/C group of 3 in the NBA, or do you trade one of them?

Now, knowing ahead of time that this draft is a possibility, could the Jazz trade one of them for another pick in next years draft? Would there be any players left on the board that would be worth trading straight up for Kanter or Favors?

considering how favors is playing. I say move kanter to the bench and have burks and kanter anchor the second team. Favors defense with randles scoring on the first unit is dangerous

I would keep all three for at least a couple years while Randle is on the rookie scale, depending, of course, on how things shake out over the rest of this season and next.
I would love to see that 3-man rotation, for sure.

I just don't see Kanter coming off the bench.. and not smart, imo, if you're planning to trade him.

also go hard for young

Burke, neto
Young, burke
Hayward
Randle, kanter
Favors, gobert

I could live with that

Young and Hayward would be exciting on the wings.

I just want this season to be over and for us to have a top two pick....

This. Click your heels.

Not sure if serious....

Pretty much. Sorry, Jako.

yes and no

at first my thoughts were how bad favors is playing but still a decent defender

Randle, Kanter offensive players
Favors, Gobert Defensive

so it makes sense to seperate them

Right now Favors has more upside then Gobert.

Randle is better then them all

He may be the best of that group.. his skillset, motor, work ethic/tenacity is off the charts. (not to mention hunger)

WCS only took 3 shots in his 20 minutes of play.

Very impressive athlete and agility..
3pts
6rbs
4asts
3stls
4blks
