Seriously though, players change all the time. Their bodies grow so fast, then their games change accordingly.


Take LeBron for example, if you guys remembered correctly, started out playing PG for Silas. Then he was that SF that dominated in the conference Finals vs the Pistons. Then for the Heat he plays some PF to pushed them over the hump.


I know it's easy to be fixated on positioning, etc, but I'm a bit more free in my thinking.
 
Lebron hasn't fundamentally changed and that happens very rarely. Lebron has been a primary ball-handler ("PG") for pretty much the entire time he has played organized basketball. He hasn't changed that much besides having rounded out his game (perhaps most notably by learning how to play in the post in the last couple of years).

Demarcus Cousins is very fundamentally not at all a perimeter player. Or "SF".
 
Randle has been a primary scorer in the post ("PF") for pretty much the entire time he has played organized basketball. He hasn't changed that much besides having rounded out his game (perhaps most notably by learning how to play in open court & in the perimeter the last couple of years).

he makes outlandish prognostications (and believes them, 100%.. I am convinced) and then after he realizes he's way off keeps pushing it to make it look like he was just trolling all along. brilliant.

Pelicans, Pistons, and Brooklyn fall in the 'they are bad but I'm not too worried about them being worse than us.' category. Milwaukee though... Terrifying.
