Dat Atlantic Division doe.

The Atlantic Division is insanely bad! Toronto leads the division at 5-7!

One thing we have going for us is that it's harder for teams to outright tank games (think shameless tanking like the warriors a couple years ago) when they are still in the playoff race. Milwaukee at 2-8 is incredibly just 1.5 games out of the 8th seed, so every team still has hope for the playoffs in the horrible Eastern Conference.

Hopefully the parity in the East continues through most of the year and keeps teams from truly tanking. I keep saying it, but I don't think the Jazz will shamelessly tank. We tanked from an organizational standpoint with the way the roster is set up, but I really don't see us intentionally tanking during games, which could make it really really hard to get a bottom 3 record.

We HAVE to keep losing these early games bros!

One thing I could see the Jazz doing, and hope they do, is being very liberal with the amount of rest they give injured players down the stretch. Like if Hayward is nicked up like he is now with 10 games to go, they could shut him down for the season. (Maybe not actually Hayward since he and his agent would flip with his pending RFA, but you get the point.)

I am of the opinion that any off court tanking is strategic and totally acceptable. On court tanking is an embarrasment doe.

I agree. The players and coaches play to win. They may mess up, play bad and coach bad at times but they are not intentionally losing individual games.

Seriously, if you look at the next 10 or so games for the Bucks, they are all against easy/bad teams. If the Bucks don't win a few of those games, the Tank might be in a little trouble.

Well they have:

Philly - potential
CHA - they're not tanking
Pistons - they're not tanking
CHA - they're not tanking
Boston - potential
Boston - potential

Pistons they're not tanking
Wizards - they're not tanking

Potentially 3 wins coming up... (2 of them at the expense of BOS though)

While those teams may not be tanking they still suck,

I know that a few of those teams are not tanking, but they have been really bad notwithstanding. Gotta think the Bucks have a good chance to get one of those games. certainly a better chance to win against the Wiz, Pistons, and Bobcats over other beasts of the east.

I saw Charlotte play the other day - they definitely want to win. They're quietly 6-6 right now.

Pistons are definitely built to win with Josh Smith & Jennings signing. They've just been on a West coast swing, hence their 4-7 record. But they'll be OK too.

Also, might as well include Brooklyn, whom they play after the Wiz. The nets are really terrible.
