Following potential 2014 draftees

I think he gets exposed a little there. He's obviously MUCH better suited to guard college PF's than college SF's... and he'll be a bit (not a lot) of a defensive liability in the pros.

I agree, that's why I'd like to see him attempt to guard SF's to see just how much of a liability he'll be. He's not going to be playing the 5 on the defensive end every play like he does in college .. nor would you want him to.

Jabari has a lot of fat potential and that worries me

Agreed.

But if you think he can come in and give you straight away 4 productive years - 23pt, 8reb, 4assists per - may be that would be enough?

Otherwise you can wait around for Wiggins to produce ala Paul George - he'll get there, but it'll take time.

Wiggins only had 5 points and was shooting 22% from the field with 5 minutes left in a fairly close game today .. then finished the game with 17.

Guys!!!

How do you think Jabari would fair guarding NBA SFs or even PFs?

The last thing I want is a Carmelo clone who can't guard anyone and never make it past 1st round of the playoffs.

(Yes PKM, this is a serious question)

Melo has been to the WCF before.
He has the same playoff track record, pretty much, as Deron Williams.

Hasn't done much more than that since though has he?

He hasn't but neither has Deron.
You can say the same thing about Christopher Paul.
Though, he is in the Western Conference, there are a lot of players who haven't been to the WCF or the Finals.

And Chris Paul, under my knowledge... has never been to the WCF.

That's my point. If you focus only on their offensive weapons, then you'd end up with Deron, CP3, Carmelo....

What we really need is a Tim Duncan, Roy Hibbert, Paul George type to really make a push......no?? Somebody suggested taking Embiid for this reason alone a few days ago, I don't know if I can disagree...

Did you just put Roy Hibbert and Tim Duncan in the same sentence?
