So, how good would Marvin be had the Hawks played him as a stretch 4?

Ty switches him to pf, and all of a sudden he's not invisible and looks like he might have a future with this team.

The funny thing is the Atl coaches in 7 years never figured out what Corbin figured out in 1 year. Lol.

I like what I am seeing from Marvin as a stretch 4, but this is a contract year is it not?

Last year was too, because he could have opted out of his contract a year early.

Last year he was dealing with some injury issues with his achilles and the season for him might have been his worst. Do I think that Marvin is going to go back to being the Marvin of last season if we do extend him? Not as long as he is healthy. I just don't know if we can consistently count on him for good nights as we have seen lately if we were to bring him back. I doubt he is going to be cheap too.

Good hell.

Marvin Williams actually did play PF quite a bit for the Hawks.

Yup. In fact, he played at the 4 quite a bit-- Locke crunched some stats on him, and apparently he defended the 4 quite poorly in his Hawks days. Corbin never really played Marv at the 4 until this season though.

Expiring contract, can stretch the defense and is shooting >40% on his 3's. Sounds like an asset a contender can use. Trade him at the deadline for expiring scrubs + a late 1st.
