Do we finally have an alpha dog?

Who is alpha dog on the Jazz?

Easy people. He misses those 2 threes at the end and he becomes Mo Williams on this board.
Exactly…the only player that can get away with bricking crucial 3 point shots time after time and still be beloved is Gordon Hayward.

Isn't the answer an obvious "yes?"

Pretty sure most everyone on this board loved his take charge attitude that made Michigan so successful last year. Especially after the game against.... Kansas or Syracuse?

I probably would have felt that way if I had ever watched him play 1 second of college basketball...

Translation:

My sons gonna get mines.

Or, if that 8 million a year kid is going to get 12, Trey will be banking!

Yes, this will be Trey's team very soon. Even after our pick as well. We are putting together a very nice core. A real core, not the silly core4 stuff with four #3 options. But legit options. Burke will make a real nice #2 option, Hayward a great #3. Favors will be a great #4 and Marvin looks like a nice #5. All we need now is that #1 guy...2014 draft.

Burke keeps hitting shots like that, the passing game is going to open right up, as teams are going to overplay him when he drives. Also, elite point guard rebounding, didn't see that coming AT ALL. I see no reason why he couldn't become a slightly shorter Deron Williams.

He might be a better rebounder than Williams, already. I notice though that he's improving game after game.

Hate to say I told you so.

(I actually kinda enjoy it tbh)

I say Kanter is your option at number 2.
Here comes the double team, and it's out to Burke or G-Time for the deuce.

fixed

I don't think he's passed out of a double team this year. The defense collapses on him, and he trys to spin and up and under his way to the basket.

Not defending him on this premise, but isn't this what Karl Malone was brought in for?

The dude has been playing basketball for only 5 years TOTAL!
I'd say what he's done this season is quite impressive giving such limited playing time in the college and pros.

What other kinds of dogs are there besides alpha dogs?

BTW, do about 99% of men consider themselves alpha dogs?

BTBTW, I think the whole idea of an alpha dog is kind of silly. Never needed one myself. I'm no alpha dog. So what the **** am I?

Serious though, I think we live in a world built by alpha males and so by virtue of that fact it is assumed that noting can happen unless an alpha male makes it happen. I wholeheartedly disagree. I think alpha males overestimate the necessity of alpha males. Never really enjoyed their company, myself.

delusional.. tbh. it's sooo real. and it's LARGELY a DECISION.

I don't dispute typical group dynamics and the role of an alpha male, I just dispute that it's inevitable.
