What's new

The Walking Dead

Wow. OK, so can we agree that we can talk about spoilers now?
Cuz so freakin' much happened in this episode, and I have some questions I'd like to ask of those that have read the comics.

In the Talking Dead the writer of the comics did hint that the comic fans would recognize the Carl & Rick story as it is straight from the comics.

I was kinda hoping Michonne would cut off the Governor's jaw and arms and maybe feet so he would suffer as a zombie but be no harm to anyone. Although the writer did say in the comics he wanted his death to be unsatisfying but in the show thought he would let Rick and Michonne get a little in before leaving, but still not totally satisfying.

So for those that read the comics, did the Governor die this early??? I thought he was a protagonist for a long time in the comics?

The Governor died when the prison was stormed. He was shot by one of his own people.

I wonder if the show will go the Nagan route (Glenn and Maggie probably don't) and if they will introduce Abraham.

Also in the comics the Governor and Michonne are blood enemies, 1,000 x more than in the show. In the comics he captures her, has his way with her and tortures her for days.

She in turn escapes and goes back and captures him. She is in the middle of torturing and mutilating (he loses an eye, arm, privates, burns...) him to death when she gets interupted and the Governor miraculosly survives. So to see her stab him in the show was a little bit of a nice surprise for me.

Still wish Merle had lived. Really liked the direction Herschel was headed as well. Wanted Ricks group to be a hard group. having Shane, Darryl, Merle and Michonne is a good start.

Did the baby really die?

Like was said she did in the comics but I personally don't think she did, I think it makes for more drama in the TV show if they keep her alive for at least a few more shows. Like for example now that they're on the open road her crying is ringing the dinner bell as well as how much more danger they put themselves in getting supplies to keep her alive. Then of course if/when they meet back up the interaction with Rick especially if the group that has her had to eventually leave her behind or couldn't take care of her because lack of supplies and those type of story lines. So again I think keeping her alive a few more episodes benefits the show to much for her to be dead.

Pissed that Herschel is gone. Upsetting. I really liked where his character was going, and the way he died was the most brutal yet. I wonder if they were trying to alienate fans.

So the crazy little girl totally killed those 2(it wasn't carol) right?

Uhmmm no but she might be the one dissecting the rats that Tyreese found in the cell right before the Gov showed up with the tank. Also if so makes it kinda interesting that the same girl save him by shooting the hottie in the head and then they all leave together.

She definitely is the one dissecting the rats. I'm 75% she killed those people. It makes sense that carol would protect her.

Well then Carroll would've had to be the one to drag the bodies out and burn them, no way the kid could have the strength to do that, so I never thought of that so I guess it is possible she would cover for the girl just don't think so.

wasn't she going to kill her dad(zombie dad anyway) just before this and carol was all disappointed.
