Following potential 2014 draftees

Really annoyed at myself for going to the Utes game .. didn't realize Kansas was playing so early in the day, I thought it was in the evening.

Who watched? Wiggins had great stats, but how did he get his points?

Dude. No. WTF.

Utes game in person>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>than watching some dude on tv

You know what?...... **** you guys

Deron Williams, Andrei Kirilenko, I would consider Hayward quite successful so far.

I think he meant it more along the way of:
When did the Jazz pick the BPA the last time, who was still the best player of his class downwards from his draft slot 5 years later or during his career.

Most teams don't pick the BPA at the time of their pick. Hindsight is 20/20.

Yeah still it is a pedigree of quality of an organization to do it. In single cases you could make a case for luck. But if you do it repeatedly it prolly indicates some real sick general managing skillz.

i'm not meaning it in the whiny "this organization sucks" kind of way or "hayward sucks and is white shoulda had george" ncoloradojazz kinda way.

i am totally fine with the d will and hayward picks recognizing that hindsight is 20/20, but it would be nice psychologically to this time draft the CP3 or the paul george. i know passing on better players in hindsight happens to every single team pretty much every year, but i just am saying we are overdue to be picking the paul george instead of the hayward. and i recognize a lot of this is blind luck.

i guess AK would be the last first rounder the Jazz really nailed, although i think Manu was in that draft. Manu doesn't really count though because he was pretty close to going undrafted.

This is a good post.

The jazz havr not drafted badly but it is interesting that there is pretty much always a better player drafted after thier pick.

Granted this happens to lots of teams though

*Almost every team, almost all the time.

Be grateful we're not Blazers fans.

Wiggins played like a boss, im pretty sure 15 or 17 of the 22 was in the 2nd half, he was in attackmode getting to the line and had a few And-1 finishes, Kansas needed every point there was countless times where CU extended the lead to 6-8 points and Wiggins quickly answered, if Wiggins didnt have such a great 2nd half Kansas loses this game by 10 easily

it seemed like he was catching the ball on the perimeter on the right side of the court and then quickly driving the ball down the left side of the lane, and CU had no answer hed either jump over or past the defense

We need Wiggins, ya'll.
