What's new

I woudn't give hayward more then 8m tbh.

My only fear that this contract is weighing on his mind way to much, and when he is paid he'll go back to his efficient 40% from three self. A team with a clear #1 (This years draft pick) plus Favors and Burke, I think Hayward could fit in VERY nicely there. So I might pay him a little more than it looks like he is worth.

I think thompson would look pretty meh without curry.

Likewise Hayward is going to look pretty damn good with a new stud to play next to.
I think I would disagree with this. Say Trey Burke or Derrick Favors developed to the point where they command double or triple teams, leaving Hayward wide open for 3's all game long, what makes you think he's even good enough to make those shots on a consistent basis? I think people just can't stop making excuses for the guy. At some point you need to realize, he just isn't an elite level shooter. For whatever reason, fans have it in their mind that Hayward has the shooting ability of a Korver, Hornacek, Larry Bird but because of this or that, he is unable to show this. Garbage.

Hypothetical here.

Let's say someone offers Hayward 12 mil a year. Would you let him walk and maybe throw some money at someone like Evan Turner. Maybe 8 mil for 3 years?

Did you miss his first 3 seasons? Dude was one of the best spot up shooters in the league last season.

A little intellectual honesty from you would be nice, if extremely unlikely.

Lots of folks where comparing Hayward before season to playes in 9-10mil/year range like Batum, DeRozan, Green, etc. and said that he is definitely way better and deserves more. Well guess what - if you look at this season stats he is no better then any of them . So unless he improves a lot that's what he is worth, south of 10mil.

Not me. I've said he is the same as those guys all along.
