Is Gordon Hayward at odds with Trey Burke?

Batman

I noticed at the end of the game, Bolerjack (think it was Boler) asked Hayward if Trey Burke's play has helped the offense and the team win and Hayward seemed to steer any praise away from Burke

I wonder if Hayward is jealous of Burke in some way or it is possible Burke rubs him the wrong way. I mean, if you think about it, having a guy come in as a rookie and be a better on court leader than you are might be pretty difficult to deal with. I am hoping that Hayward is a bigger man than that, but he is human and maybe there is a subtle "your Beta and I'm alpha" war going on here. Any thoughts?

I think it is to early to tell to be honest. Maybe they just don't get along.

he doesn't say anything negative about Trey, or deflect anything. Stop trying to make **** up Batman. Gordon's praised Burke in the past many a games. He gave Burke his credit, but Burke didn't win the game, the team did--and that's what Hayward was pointing out: team.

Haha I'm really not trying to make anything up man. I have heard two interviews now where he seemed to steer away from talking about Burke but it may very well be nothing. Really hope they are buds.

Jazzland loves to create animosity between players. I guess you didn't hear all the praise during summer league Hayward gave to Burke. This is like saying AK and DW didn't like each other but their families vacationed together.

I don't know why Hayward didn't lavish praise on Trey this time but it seems like people have too much time on their hands.

Nah, It occurred to me the instant he steered the conversation away from Burke. Really concerned me, tbpfh

The next time Hayward breaks off on a set play and Burke whips the ball at him 90 miles an hour - we'll know for sure something is up.

Batman, what are you talking about?

Boler: Do you feel more comfortable with Trey Burke?

Hayward:It's just playing with him more and more you just get more chemistry.

Yep sounds like Hayward hates Burke.

I saw that interview. You are reading way too much into it. He was trying to talk about the team, and his answer was straight on.

Haha, well you're not crazy because I had gotten the same impression after listening to both interviews. Doing a google search to see if there was any animosity between the two led me to this forum. He did it once and I didn't think much of it, but the second time made me raise an eyebrow. Either way, you don't have to be best buds to play well together, but I was kind of hoping they were since they're two of my favorite players.

I heard that Gordon is jealous of Trey's turn over to assist ratio

How can he be jealous of something that Burke doesn't have?
9 assists, no turnovers.

I don't think it is proper to express a ratio of 9/0 or of 0/9. Math geeks help me out here.

Rations are not fractions. You can express a 9/0 ratio.

Batman is just asking a question if anyone saw it as well. I think this i a reasonable thread for our entertainment. I hope there is nothing, but now i'll watch...

I know he's been struggling (because the team's been struggling and we're asking him to do things he can't) but when did Hayward become Darth ****ing Vader on this forum?
