Would Burke have earned a starting spot if DL didn't clean out all NBA PGs in front of him

Discuss....We are talking about the development of Burke and he has seemed to be doing some great things. But, could he have earned his role if we had another NBA caliber PG on the team? Because Enes can't even sniff the court and we are complaining about his development. I find this almost hilarious.

Kanter lost that spot all on his own. And we did have 2 PG's on the roster (it could be argued whether they were NBA quality or not) and he still started almost right away.
.
Enes was not running the offense or playing with effort on defense. If you want your guys to learn how to play then you have to teach them somehow. And benching them for lack of effort is an effective means in some ways.
.
God damn it did I just defend Corbin? Oh well I guess I can agree with 1 decision a season.

Well he did start the year in the starting five, and couldn't hack it.

Mission Accomplished apparently doesn't watch any basketball games. To reiterate from another thread, KANTER IS DEAD-LAST IN ON/OFF COURT POINT DIFFERENTIAL AT -22 WHICH IS TWICE AS BAD AS LUCAS.

I've been one of the most consistent supporters of Kanter on this board, but you have to be completely ignorant to not know that he has been playing poobag basketball.

I still like Kanter's skillet but he is awful right now. Burke, on the other hand is at least our second best player.

HE is young that is the time to get playing time to play through his poobag basketball. I have seen Hayward play poobag basketball and his minutes weren't touched. Burke is showing that if you have confidence in a player and give him the time that it can allow them to grow and develop. I watched the summer league Burke was horrible; Neto looked like the better of the two pgs. The Jazz didn't even go try and get Neto out of his contract saying he needed time to develop. When he was clearly outplaying Burke then. I'm just saying it seem to me that this team make moves to give certain player all the chances in the world. Yet, Enes was stuck developing under Jefferson and now we are judging him after an injury for playing like the player that he was given as a role model.

The only problem is, Hayward has played some poobag basketball, some okay basketball, a lot of good basketball, and some very, very good basketball. Enes' performance has all been in the poobag category. It's not that he can't beat Marvin to the starting spot, it's that he couldn't beat out Jeremy to the spot the way they are both playing right now. And this time of last year, some people were wondering if Jeremy is good enough to be an NBA player period.

Seriously, Burke has taken EVERY chance given to him and run with it. Did you happen to watch any college basketball last year or just Summer League? See, Burke, grabbed that thing by the ********* and just dominated. Kanter dominated some game four years ago against 17 year olds and really didn't played organized ball until after he was drafted. He needs to learn the game. He is not athletic enough to dominate on a consistent basis without fine tuning his game. He didn't do that this summer because he was hurt. He is behind the curve and playing him big minutes where he gets destroyed will not help him right now. He needs to play against scrubs until he can dominate them. If he is still hurt, he needs to be shut down completely until he is better. Quite frankly Burke is just owning everything he touches right now, like no other Jazz rookie I have seen since Karl Malone (Of course I was in grade school then, so I could possibly be mistaken. . .)

Burke has played terrible at times ... about every jazz player has played bad at times ..... bottom line Corbin is supposed to be devolping our young tallent ... he's not doing it at all ... he'd probably be starting Jamaal Tinsley if he was givin a chance .. incase everyone missed it Kanter had a great game in Denver then got crap minutes miami .... Kanter needs minutes so he can see what does and doesnt work in the NBA game ... seriously since he has been drafted he's never got a chance .... neither has Alec Burks ... they have 0 direction ... B Rush could be a decent 2 gaurd... he's not even being used in any way or given any direction on what he can and can't do to get more time ...seriously it looks as though we have a coaching staff without a clue here.

Well, looked into this year games at and over 15 pts a game

Hayward has had 19

Alec Burk has had 10

Derrick Favors has had 9

Enes has had 8

Keep in mind that Enes and Burks have gotten times this year where they haven't played equal min

Funny, looking at the box score I saw a win completely carried by the people that are supposed to be the future of the team (minus Kanter) and people can't stop kvetching. . .

Hardly carried by the core anything. Looks like Burke carried the whole team and they beat a lousy 8-18 Orlando team without Afflalo by 4.

To answer the op question.

I believe that if we had mo williams right now then mo would get about 28 (starting) and burke would get about 20 (off the bench)

I like this guy he reads and doesn't just see blood and throw out the argument proposed in a thread

You like this guy because he agrees with you, which is strange since you don't make a lot of sense sometimes and when people point out the flaws, you reiterate over and over again to 'force' people to see it your way.
You see, when you start a thread and state your OPINION, other people in a message forum like to state theirs. You don't like that it seems. Kanter is playing like a pile of Jurassic Park poopy, and has been. I like Kanter and have since we got him..YES, he shows signs sometimes that he could become better. But he isn't getting it done right now.
Come to think of it, maybe you are right and he would at least help the tank..sigh
