Following potential 2014 draftees

if we miss on jabari, randle, or wiggins, then i really don't mind embiid. we need size. i really hope he is dikembe mutombo 2.0. i don't expect him to be hakeem. that's laughable. but i want a legit 7fter with long arm who can intimidate and block & alter shots.

and we need get bigger.

Barefoot heights for our players.

Alex Burks - 6ft 5
trey burke - 5ft 11 3/4
derek favors - 6ft 8 3/4
rudy gobert -7ft 1/2
gordon hayward - 6ft 6 3/4
richard jefferson - 6ft 7 1/4
enes kanter - 6ft 9 3/4
marvin williams - 6ft 7
brandon rush - 6ft 5

embiid will be a nice addition. and we can be like 90's hawks with mutombo and mookie blaylock. that's a good core to build a team around.

and if gobert can join the party down the road then we potentially could have a legit twin towers.

I'd have a Jazzgasm if we got Wiggins or Parker.

I'd be pretty damn satisfied with Embiid, Randle, or Exum.

Smart would be okay.

After that, I'd be very disappointed.

LOL.

Trey Burke? Can't miss?

I think it's because our backups are the worst in the league.

Trey Burke is more like a Jameer Nelson or Mo Williams like PG. Ok but not great. His lack of assists is actually becoming pretty alarming to me.

your lack of the history of basketball is alarming.

rookie season assist stats per 36

dennis johnson - 2.7
Mo williams - 3.5
dave bing - 4.3
chauncey billups - 5.1
jameer nelson - 5.3
tony parker - 5.3
deron williams - 5.6
steve nash - 5.7 (2nd season, he only played 10 min per game in his rookie season)
russell westbrook - 5.8
rajon rondo - 5.8
stephen curry - 5.9
mookie blaylock - 6
damian lillard - 6
mark price - 6
trey burke - 6.1
derrick rose - 6.1
sam cassell - 6.2
nick van exel - 6.2
kyrie irving - 6.4
penny hardaway - 6.5
mike bibby - 6.7
kenny anderson - 6.7
magic johnson - 7.3
jason kidd - 7.7
chris paul - 7.8
stephon marbury - 8.1
kevin johnson - 8.2
isiash thomas - 8.4
rod strickland - 8.5
mark jackson - 9.6

Trey's fine. i predict he will finish around 6.5 per 36 by end of this season. and he will be in teh top 5 in assist/TO ratio. that's not bad at all.

I'd like that comparison with age 21 seasons. I don't give a rats crap about rookie. It's not like you stay in college knowing you learn nothing. It's the opposite.

Good thing NBA players play wearing shoes. I am sure if you listened other NBA w/o their shoes there would be a different in their heights too. Jazz need more talent. Embiid is worth drafting because he is talented and provides the team with more athleticism and talent. Jazz also need more shooters (guys who can make a shot when the offense breaks down. Size in the middle will definitely help though especially defensively.

pretty much all of them have college experience.

youngest guys are

kyrie irving - 19 (1 and done at UK)
tony parker - 19 (his 3rd season PER 36 assist is 5.7, he played 2 years of pro league in france)
rajon rondo - 20 (2 years UK)
derrick rose - 20 (1 and done at Memphis)
westbrook - 20 (2 years UCLA)
mike bibby - 20 (2 years at zona)
magic johnson - 20 (2 years at MSU)
chris paul - 20 (2 years at WAKE)

and 1 year college = / = 1 year in NBA.

bottom line, trey holds his own so far. trey will have his ups and downs, but i project him to be well above average PG in the NBA. i don't expect him to be an all star anytime soon because guys in front of him (curry, cp3, lillard, westbrook, etc) in the west, but i expect him to be a good floor general who knows how to take care of the ball and consistently deliver in the clutch situation. once he gets more pieces around him, his assist number will only go up and he will make others better. he needs to work on many areas, but what rookie doesn't? future is bright for trey.

Nice thoughts

and trey just turned 21. he played 2 years of college. he wasn't 1 and done like kyrie or rose, but it's not like he was a 4 year starter.

Duke.

You misunderstand my thought process. Age wise he's close to NCAA juniors and seniors(within 10 months of both age ranges). If you compare anything compare this year's numbers of Kyrie, 2nd year of Derrick and stuff.

just those 2.

again burke would be junior in college right now. your thought process made it sound like burke graduated from michigan.

and in no way, i'm comparing burke to those 2 phenoms. IMO healthy rose is the best PG and top 3 player in nba. and kyrie is just the mr. natural. that dude can flat out ball.

i'm only brought this up because he was compared to jameer nelson and mo williams. that's laughable.
