Are you still going to ague that you are a better program than Utah?

You went 2-5 against BCS teams, with losses to Virginia and Utah. You had a month to prepare for amid level PAC-12 team with no coach and you got taken to the woodshed. You lost by 15 to a mediocre PAC-12 team when you had a month to prepare.

Utah had two losses to PAC-12 teams that were worse than that (USC and Oregon).

Do you honestly think you are a better program? I sure hope not. There isn't a single piece of evidence that says you would be any better.

The good news is that your schedule gets significantly easier next year, you don't have to play Utah (one less loss for you) so you'll probably be back to 10 wins and a MAC opponent in your bowl game.

When you can't hang with the big boys, schedule down, right?

*snicker*

Cool story bro. If watching BYUs bowl game helps you to feel better about Utah's season, then congrats.

Reality is that both programs are below-average right now, and nationally irrelevant. What's the point of comparing?

Had to laugh at this stat:

"As bad as Utah's .333 winning percentage in conference play since joining the Pac-12, BYU has had an even worse record over the past 3 years with a .286 winning percentage.

"BYU's best win against the Pac-12 in the past 3 years was a 10 point win over an Oregon State team that finished 10th in 2011. Their only other Pac-12 win was against a Washington State team that tied with Colorado for last place in 2012.

"BYU's 5 losses are to teams that finished 4th, 6th, 9th, 9th, and 10th place in the Pac-12.

"So despite playing no elite Pac-12 teams, and playing mostly teams at the bottom of the Pac-12, BYU now sits at 2-5 against the conference since becoming an independent."

The takeaway from all this is that as bad as Utah is, they are still a better program than BYU. Also, no mid major should have a shot at a national championship. They just aren't good enough.

Also, if Utah were run like BYU, Utah would not have hired DC in an effort to improve their biggest weakness. They would have asked the PAC-12 to rescind their membership, scheduled a bunch of weak *** teams to get back to 10 wins, and then talk about how great they are (see 2014 schedule for BYU. 10 wins scheduled there).

I don't see how a fan of a team with back to back losing records can go rag on how they are a better program than somebody else by using stats that compare a meaningless .286 winning percentage to a .333 winning percentage. Both suck either way. But once again, if it makes you feel better then congrats.

Keep up the good work green.
I look forward to a similar thread next year after the utes have another losing record and bored ute fans have just finished watching another byu bowl game.

Blah Blah Blah. BYU has an average defense and an offense that sputters inside the red zone. There is nothing else to read from this season. You're an idiot if you think they got "woodshedded" yesterday. The point differential was a couple of long kickoff returns they gave up and their inability to finish in the red zone, where they were all night. Things that can be fixed for next year.

I thought Utah was "over" BYU?

I thought you folks were so much above BYU you folks didn't even care about Byu anymore?

Is it typical to keep talking about your rival... Even creating new threads about your rival... If you no longer need, care about, or otherwise think about your rival?

How many of those BCS losses have come under this ugly hellish Heaps/Nelson/Hill regime?

Mad Max wasn't anything that great (but he did own Utah) however I can't imagine that BYU would have underachieved so badly the last 4 years. The offense Mad Max, Collie, And Pitta provided were light years ahead of what I've seen from both programs in years.

Like Utah, poor decisions/recruiting on QBs has really screwed both programs over. How many OCs have been canned by both programs in the last few years?

I'm guessing that I forgot a few too!

Love the responses. Again, BYU fan's biggest argument that they are better is:

"We play a weak schedule."

Lol. Like I said, don't feel bad BYU fan, next year your schedule gets easy again, you'll get your ten wins and Utah's gets tougher and will struggle for six. It's just different philosophies. Utah's is, "let's play the best, take our lumps and get better." BYU's is "if it's hard, let's play easier teams."

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Show me one post in this thread saying that byu is better than utah

green, this thread is embarrassing for the same reasons it would be embarrassing to make a thread detailing why the Jazz are a better NBA franchise than the Charlotte Bobcats. Cmon bro.
