Yahoo: 'Utah attempting to move up'

So in other words you don't have a good reason? He would be a great pick up IMO. Depending on what we had to give up to get him of course.

No, in other words, I have a helluva reason: I don't know who Flavors is. If post on the board who I want the team to select, I usually try to know their name. Flavors...never heard of him. Where's he from? What position does he play?

I think what YB85 is saying is that you keep calling him Flavors and his real name is Favors. He's never heard of "Flavors" so he'd be upset if the Jazz drafted him.

I've never seen him play and know nothing about him. If the Jazz trade up go get Flavors, who I know nothing about, then so help me, I will never go to another game and I will burn the place to the ground.

Completely agree. They might as well trade up and draft Mickey Mouse or Santa Claus. Flavors will provide just as much production.

No, the Lakers will be the one trading up. There has already been a backdoor deal made that gives Washington Dj Mbenga and Derek Fisher and the Lakers John Wall.

Any word on if the Flopping Fish would ask out of his contract to get back closer to his daughter NY doctor by playing for the Lakers?

KOC is moving up because he fears Babbitt might be gone at #9.

Seriously, I think he's moving up to get Monroe, not Cousins. Monroe would be drafted too high at #5, but if you're sitting at #9 and hear he's going #7 or #8, then you make the deal with whatever team is willing to trade their pick.

It kind of correlates with what we've heard earlier. Monroe's agent has turned down workout requests from everyone below Utah because they allegedly have a promise from Utah that he'll be drafted by the Jazz if he falls to #9.

So if KOC has heard the Kings, Warriors or Pistons would also select Monroe, then he'll probably try dangling the Memphis pick to move up.

I don't think there's really such thing as "this guy is drafted too high" for the Jazz in this draft. They should hone in on the player they want and get him anyway they can.

Yes, that has all been arranged. Also, LeBron will be signed and traded for a combination of Luke Walton, Jordan Farmar, Sasha, and some retired player nobody else has ever heard of who signs to a one year deal worth 10 million dollars. It will be brilliant, watching my Lakers fail in the Finals just doesn't sit well with me and the refs.

Not sure what that means. If Kings want a vet SF in the trade down why look at rookie SFs?

Monroe's standing reach is 9'0"5 and he has a max vert reach of 11'5.5".

Babbitt's SR is 8'8.5", four inches shorter. But his max vert reach's 11'10", 4.5 inches greater.

That's a swing of 8.5 inches.

I know it's comparing apples to oranges but I just wanted to provide more info on how ****** Monroe's athleticism is. Yes, Cousins and Aldrich have even worse vert but they at least play like men down low.

Stay NO to Mon-ROE!

Trading a top ten pick for a backup? I'm not sold on that. I also wouldn't want Lawson and Williams on the court together for long stretches.

Exactly why this trade would be retarded for the Jazz. Also, it doesn't give the Lakers any superstars so I wouldn't approve it.

I think the Kings are probably luke warm on Cousins, Aminu and Monroe, and they're seeing what they can get. They could come away with Tony Parker, Ty Lawson, Tayshawn Prince, one of the Jazz guys, or some other player.

I think I like Lawson much more than most people. His shooting percentages (51.5%, 41% on threes) are great for a point guard, he's young, he's actually a pretty good distributor, etc etc.

I'm also not enamored with most of the players outside of the top five or six. If our options come down to drafting Babbitt or trading for Lawson, I'd have to think about it. If our options were trading for Lawson or completely wasting a pick on Whiteside or Patrick Patterson I'd take the value where I see it.
