Following potential 2014 draftees

I would pronounce vonleh as Von lay. that doesn't sound anything like volley. (I maybe mistaken)

damn I don't want a second tier player in this draft. Parker wiggins are the best fits.

top 10

Parker - closest to a sure thing
wiggins - wow upside
randle - double machine but being pushed closely by..
embiid - players like him are hard to find. if he puts it all together could be best player in class
exum - the success oh McW is going to increase his value
smart - best team leader in this draft.
Gordon - who or what is he? seems to have a great work ethic though
vonleh - his mass increase has helped him the most and his desire to play defense.
lavine - the sexy choice right now. hard to find players that are über athletic that can still shoot.
walker - just because of his physical attributes. until he plays for Florida I think teams will be enamored with him.

honorable mention

young - will be a 3 and d player at next level but needs to add strength
saric - I want to put him top 10 but something is holding me back
hood - if he had more fire he would be top 10
Harris - just like the way he plays reminds me a little of wade in that aspect on the court (attitude only not game)

Almost identical to my big board I posted yesterday.

Fwiw.. even though I think Chris Walker is one of the biggest douches to come out in 10 years.. I would put him top 7 as far as size, athleticism, and talent. Hes just THAT big of knucklehead.

Where do you have him ranked when factoring in the #DOUCHE factor?

Depends on the team selecting and the coach... but to answer your question, his talent is worth the risk around 12/13.

Can you expound on his doucheyness a bit? I know you've brought it up before, but it was a long time ago and I don't really recall.

My comments regarding DX's current mock.

1 Andrew Wiggins SF
Where he belongs.

2 Julius Randle PF
Should be dropped a couple spots. Needs to improve handles when down low in the paint. Lack of explosiveness around the rim will result in a ton of shots blocked in the league. I LOVE the guy and his game.. I am not hating, I just think #2 is too high.

3 Jabari Parker PF
Should be #2. For all the reasons that have been discussed ad nauseum.

4 Joel Embiid C
Should be moved to #3. For all the reasons that have been discussed. (this is one of a few guys that I pimped hard pre-season)

5 Dante Exum PG/SG
I'd probably take him #4 just before Randle.. VERY tough choice there. (this is another I pimped before he ever made it to a draft board)

6 Marcus Smart PG
I've always felt he should be around #10.. still think so. Reminds me a lot of Bledsoe.

7 Aaron Gordon PF
This guy should go in the 8/9 range imo. Lots of upside, but my gut says be cautious.. I'm just being blindly cautious.

8 Noah Vonleh C
Very raw but SCREAMS upside. This is the guy I would pick, of everyone, to be the surprise of the draft (a la George)

9 Willie Cauley-Stein C
He has lots of upside but I would drop him to 11/12. Not any real glaring concerns other than go-to moves but he's making great strides.

10 Gary Harris SG
Way too early for Harris. Drop him to 14-16'ish. Not tall enough or big enough rebounder.. or passer.. to not be shooting better in college in his 2nd year.

11 Dario Saric PF
I've never been high on Saric. Not at all. Push him down to 20.

12 Montrezl Harrell PF/C
Most overrated player on this mock. Drop him to bottom of first round. After playing against WCS they put his picture on milk cartons throughout the state of Kentucky. (and I never liked him)

13 Doug McDermott PF
I wouldn't hate the pick at #13, but I'd be a little underwhelmed. I would LOVE him around 20 though.

14 Rodney Hood SF
About right.

15 James Young SF
About right.

He has been a twitter twit dozens of times... calling out his coaches, teammates, even teachers.
He was tweeting for Calipari to offer him and when Cal didn't respond he made some slurs.
He has had poor academics every single year of school... and blames his teachers, publicly.

Best of all? He got 4 or 5 sets of lips tattooed to his neck.

So if I'm understanding you correctly, you'd take Vonleh at #6?

Wow, we think very similarly. Kinda freaky tbh

Only problem is I've never seen Gordon, Lavine, Hood play, and I've never even heard of this Walker guy until now.

I like McDermott better than most, but seventeen is probably high enough. I don't think I like young as much as you do, maybe drop him down a couple.

After watching Vonleh yesterday I'm really enamored with this guy. Could be a freaking animal.
