What's new

Kendall Marshall upset the Jazz didn't call him.

Lol

Gotta love some of the apologists on here.

A few years ago Marshall was beloved here as it looked like he was going to be our draft pick. Now, some of you in order to defend the franchise act as if he wasn't even worth taking a look at.

Some consistency would be nice

I don't know about u guys but this post blew my ****ing mind.

I was one of the people who was hoping that we would end up with him. Still do. Even if all he does as a backup PG is distribute the ball, he would do so in spades (as we've all seen) and that's exactly what you want from a backup PG. If he were a starter, I would care more about his lack of defense and a jumper. Even with Neto here next year, KM would be a welcome contributor as a third option from where I sit. Anyway, I've said my piece.

You calling for consistency with posts is one of the more hilarious things ever posted here.

Or, say, he comes on like gangbusters and the Jazz (still?) feel strongly about Neto or he helps the team too much to their likeing: HE BECOMES AN ASSET, YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP HIM FOREVER.

17 assists tonight. Who could've imagined that playing on a team with at least one good player might be particularly helpful to a player whose only bankable skill is passing?

Let's see how well this keeps up. I'll be watching.

below avg. usage, huge turnover ratios, unexpectedly high shooting. I suspect his shooting is not sustainable. He'll drop to 2nd unit level pretty soon.

The Suns have Bledsoe and Dragic but if Marshall can develop consistency they will be kicking themselves.

Every team in the league would deserve to kick themselves for leaving him on the curb when they could've picked him up for nothing.

Suns had an extensive look into him for a full season and an offseason. With their roster it became obvious he had to either improve through practice or play D-League to stay on the team. But maybe he was sour about lack of opportunity(also turning 23 next August) and the Suns tried to find a trade which they couldn't get done to avoid locker room poison. Then they decided to cut him. Not a big deal. He'll come back to earth. Gravity is very reliable these days.

So impressed that they traded him as dead-weight salary, was unceremoniously waived, then not picked back up by the Suns?

The new CBA closed that loophole. When you get traded, you can't re-sign with the team that traded you for a year or after the season ends.

Ah, yes.

*So impressed that they traded him and his extremely cheap salary as filler and knew they could never get him back as he would be unceremoniously waived?

I was bored tonight and there were only two games, so I watched Lakers-Thunder game.

Man, this Marshall dude can play! Although it was a rather good night for him, I really liked what I saw from him on the court and really enjoyed the way he plays.

Yeah, 17 assists is crazy... much better than the 2 assists Trey had in his last game!

In the 25 games the dude has played this year, he is averaging 10.3 PTS and 9.5 AST in 32 MPG, with a 45 FG% and 46% from deep.

^ That's my kind of PG. Looks to facilitate first (and is damn good at doing so on an offensively challenged squad), but is still capable of scoring when it's the right basketball play. Really prefer the team first mentality (that I don't think Trey has).
