Really suprised that this rivalry thread isn't a little more up tempo with much more posts and alot more smack talk. Is this a sign that neither fan base is extremely confident that their team is a lock to win the game?

Gads I hope the weather forecast holds up and it's sunny and warmer (all the way up in the mid 30's) on Saturday. Ima gunna bundle up.

Bronco has requested civility. It's the only explanation.

Anyone thinking BYU is going to win is a school homer and too optimistic.

I'm a Ute fan, and uneasy about this game. I am a little encouraged that BYU has been so run oriented, as Utah has a good run defense. Our secondary has looked vulnerable (to say the least) but BYU is not exactly **** of the walk in the receiver dept.

I expect a competitive effort from both teams.

Where was all this "civility" last year when Max Hall was talking smack?

Screw BYU, and screw Bronco. Utah easily covers. Utah is the much better team now, and has a much better future.

Hilarious that you've complained about the replay officials when Utah's clock manager rattles off seconds for his team. Idiot.

However, I agree, Max Hall was out of line. There wasn't anything to be gained by his comments. Bronco asking for civility is hopefully a demand he places upon his own players FIRST.

This is going to be a good close game. If BYU can capitalize on the turnovers given to them by Wynn, they'll win. I just don't think BYU has the receivers to do it. Ashworth and Jacobsen are third wheel receivers at best. BYU needs a Harline, Pitta, or Collie to take some pressure off their average WRs.

Of course I complained about BYU's paid replay officials. It wasn't just me complaining, it was every non BYU fan that read about it. By the way, the last word was the head replay official never saw the replays that we saw on tv.

Anyway, you keep harping about Wynn's turnovers. BYU doesn't have the defense to force turnovers the way TCU did. You can forget about that.

Utah, however, may very well force BYU into several turnovers.

All this talk by you BYU fans all season about Utah's schedule... Well, now we're at the end of the season. Utah beat Air Force on the road, beat Pitt, and beat San Diego State (fair and square) on the road. What good teams has BYU beat this season? I know BYU beat San Diego State (in Provo) on the blown call with BYU's paid employees in the replay booth. But has BYU beat another team with a winning record this season? I don't think so.

Would love to see a lot early run game with play action mixed in. Then open it up a bit later.

If BYU comes out with the mindset of running the ball early, they'll dig themselves a hole they might not be able to get out of. If the BYU coaching staff watched Utah's game film from the last 4 weeks, they'd be a bunch of idiots if they aren't throwing a ton. There's no way BYU will be able to establish any kind of running game against Utah's front 7. Utah's run defense is their teams biggest strength.

What the hell does that mean? I can't think of any dirty word to place in there that makes any sense. Maybe it's an old timer saying that I don't get? Regardless, I assure you Utah fans that the last thing you want is Jake Heaps throwing the ball right now. He has arrived. You guys better pray that the weather forces BYU to run the ball. I think you have a shot under that scenario. You're going to get blown out if BYU throws a lot, however.

Are you joking? I guess I shouldn't expect a BYU lover to know what the saying is anyway. Well, except for Trout.

As fans, I admit that we are all just shooting from the hip. We all have our personal opinions on what we think will happen. With that being said, you are without a doubt the worst at this. Your opnions blur the line between simple homerism and total idiocy. Remember before the Nevada game how you pronounced to the world that without a doubt, BYU was winning every the game the rest of the season? I guess Nevada, TCU and Utah Freaking State didn't hear you on that one (we'll soon be able to throw Utah in there too).

Your passing game is still far away my friend. While Utah's secondary may indeed be swiss cheese, BYU simply does not have the players to shred it like TCU, Notre Dame and SDSU did. Your WR's a still awful and Utah will probably have success limiting your running game.

Get ready to be wrong. AGAIN. Saturday can't get here soon enough.

1 freshman with a good arm does not a passing game make.

If nobody is catching those passes, they mean little. Heaps may have arrived, but I think the BYU receiving corps missed the bus.

BYU's passing game is not even remotely close to SDSU's. And SDSU threw 3 interceptions against Utah (with Utah winning the game, fair and square, in San Diego).

No way is Utah worried about BYU killing them with the pass.

Demarco Sampson was eating you guys alive due to his length and ability to get open. Cody Hoffman is two inches taller than him, just as athletic, and better. You guys don't even know what you're talking about. He was stuck behind O'Neil Chambers until he got booted out of school. He'll introduce himself to you tomorrow.

Again, SDSU threw 3 interceptions (and several more that were close to being picked).

They have a much better passing game than BYU. If BYU tries to throw it like SDSU, look for Utah to get about 5 interceptions.
