Anyone want to know why coaches talk about youth with disdain watch the last 4 minutes of the Jazz game.

Was this a bad wording from Locke or does coaches really talk with "Disdain" about some of their own players?

This has to be one of those occasions where Locke typed something without thinking. Corbin treats the youth with disdain and plays veterans over them. If he was bad mouthing Kanter, Burke, Burks I don't think he would have a job for long. Like it or not, they are the future.

Locke is just a shill for the Jazz organization. They get wind fans are tired of seeing the veterans play heavy minutes, so Locke is told to put something out there supporting the Jazz. Utah sportswriters are scared of the Millers since they're the only game in town. Well, not counting Real Salt Lake ;-)

he's probably talking about gobert and kanters mental lapses on defense.

how else are they gona learn to play? this seasonwas meant for ****ing bulding not trying to get jefferass his next contract.

So, let's start tweeting back at him and tell him to stop the dishonest crap and be a real journalist.

For the record, I disagree with this. I listen to Locke all the time, and I hear nothing to suggest he is a shill. He may occasionally spin, but he doesn't hesitate to critique players, although he does appear more hesitant to critique Corbin.

I think his tweet can easily be interpreted to suggest that young players are more likely to commit certain errors during crunch time than veteran players. That's about it, nothing nefarious here. No hidden meaning. No sub-text. I really think it's as simple as that.

I'd go as far as to say that for an employee of the Jazz (and no, he's not a journalist and so is held to different standards), he is refreshingly honest.
