Following potential 2014 draftees

Btw Trey Burke has now scored 450 points on 448 FGA's...

this thread really lacks discussion about the PG's, would any consider Tyler Ennis if the jazz got a ****ty lotto pick??

how about Semaj Christon, Jahii Carson, Vasilije Micic, Elfrid Payton with the GSW or in the 2nd round

Burke will be fine. Fringe allstar at worst. Perfect fit for this team

He's a rookie and is going through a slump. I think he'll be a lot more consistent next year.

yeah im not serious about the Ennis lottery pick, that would be a disaster, i dont mind Diante Garrett making the squad next year either..

at the same time i wouldent mind if the jazz took a PG in the 2nd

Semaj Christon is intriguing, saw him drop 27 tonight... somehow hes shooting 46% from 3(up from 25% as a freshman)hes a beast at getting to the rack and a strong finisher, has an NBA ready frame 6'3" 190lbs... he plays tough defense too, id be really excited if the jazz got him in the 2nd, he will probably be a 1st rounder though

Elfrid Payton could turn out to be a bigtime steal in the 2nd, his shot is worse than Christon's but his handle is SLICK and he has nice touch around the hoop, at 6'4 with a 6'7 wingspan teams will be lined up for his services in the 2nd, hes a legit PG, high turnovers though and plays against **** competition

Jahii Carson is interesting, somehow whenever i watch him he has bad games, nice handle, good shooter, fast and quick... but hes 5'11 with a 6'1 wingspan... im not much of a fan tbh

Vasilije Micic has a unique set of skills. first and foremost hes 6'5" not a great shooter, but you cant leave him open. hes battle-tested in the adriatic league, playing big minutes and has top notch BBIQ(on offense and defense),his passing skills are top notch for this draft, the problem is hes got slow feet, and his vertical is ****

You were also the first dude to bring up Zach LaVine

LaVine is one of my favorites to watch I didnt see the last loss for UCLA vs Oregon St. but his boxscore was dreadful, worst of the season

last 3 games are 1-5, 1-5 and 1-7 for a combined 11points in 70 minutes

however i have been keeping a close eye on him and im convinced he is being misused, any hardcore UCLA fan will probably tell you the same. LaVine comes off the bench with the coaches son, who has the ball in his hands wayyy too much

its a bit of an Alec Burks situation except LaVine gets plenty of minutes(3rd most on the team)the biggest issue is that UCLA doesn't use their best lineup which is LaVine, Jordan Adams, Kyle Anderson and the Wear Twins... instead Alford has some sort of hockey substitution thing going

regardless of lineups LaVine should have the ball in his hands more, his handle isnt the greatest but hes very quick and can break down the defense and make the right pass, his 1st step is lightning quick and hes got some nice crossovers, he had a really nice game vs Stanford with 6 assists, his AST/TO ratio is better than a few of the PG's i just listed

Not for our pick, but would trade an asset to move the GS pick up high enough to get him.

Of the picks I think Carson would be best. I'm not convinced about Christon's playmaking abilities to ever develop, even though I generally like Xavier players over here in Europe. You can see them from a mile away for other reasons than David West's tattoo.

I'd let the Burke train ride out. Next year it's do or die obvi. He's progressing properly, then you don't need another PG. Bring Neto over to see if he's doing okay. If not you trade Burke and bring in new PGs via FA, trade or draft. Just being patient is the smartest approach generally.

I wonder if Chris Walker out of Florida finally becoming eligible by the NCAA will shake up this year's draft. Before the season, he was being talked about as a lottery pick, but dropped off many mocks for this year due to eligibility.

I was hoping that he would fall to the GS pick for us. Not that the Jazz would draft him but he certainly has talent and I wouldn't complain if they did draft him.

This sums it up.

I keep hoping he'll fall to the GS pick even though I know the ******* Jazz won't pick him.
