KOC has already prepared Lindsey's speech, "you always look to improve. We didn't see anything we liked well enough to pull the trigger. It was busy, you listen to everybody, there's a lot of conversations. But we didn't see anything that made sense in the long-term."

And when pressed for specifics, Lindsey will have been told to give a polite, but curt, "no comment."

Lately I have been reading a lot of texts bagging on kanter's defensive rebounding and his defense in general. So I decided to pay careful attention to kanter's defense and rebounding against the lakers.

Kanter's defense last night was extremely good. He rotated over, he helped in a timely fashion when necessary and he rebounded extremely well. In fact I think he lead the jazz in rebounds.

I was going to post a "what you talking about Willis" comment to all the kanter haters referencing specific examples from this game of good defense. Then I realized it was the lakers and may just be one of those statisical anomolies. However I will be watching more carefully to see if kanter's defense is improving.

Kaman looked like an all-star while being defended by Favors. If we can call out Kanter for suckiness we should do it for Favors too. Kaman ended with 25 pts, 14 rbd and 4 ast. If that was done while Kanter was defending him then we would be KILLING Kanter today.
 
The Lakers are just really, really bad. The Jazz, as bad as they might be, are simply better. And I think we'll see tonight, the Jazz are also simply better than the 76ers. The Jazz are also simply better than the Bucks and probably also Orlando and Sacramento. I am not optimistic that the Jazz even finish with one of the five worst records in the league by of the season.

This is a bad year to be bad.
 
tbh this is a good year to be bad and a bad year to me mediocre. which is what we are...mediocore!

well.....slightly below average, but not terrible enough for a top 3.

Jazzfanz never let's me rep you, but I've been disappointed with Favors over the last moth or so. He seems so disengaged lately, but part of that may be that we suck at pick'n roll offense and we really don't run much for him. Not to make any excuses for him, but Tray and Hayward need to do more to get him more involved.

In that time frame he has missed a bunch of games with a hip injury and had several others when he looked like he was battling through the pain. I wish they simply left him out a few extra games to rest it and see how he does after the all-star break. After the break we'll have a much better idea, if he is slipping a bit or just still hurt.
