Following potential 2014 draftees

I think he will balk at the cost of moving up in this draft. Last year it was a little different there was no one at 21 worth taking and we desperately needed a PG. This year we don't desperately need any starting positions and there is much more talent around 21 where the GS pick figures to be.

Uhh, if we have something like the 8th and 14th pick, and we want the 6th pick (we are worried that 7th pick wants our guy), the person at 6 knows there guy will be there at 8, they would trade the pick. Those scenarios aren't that unlikely.

Max vertical = most overrated measurement in basketball.
Shooting...can the guy Put it in the basket? Lay up is as good as a dunk. How's a player's mid-range game? 3-PT FG's%?
Rebounding...does the player block out or does he rely on that extra 2-3" of max vertical to come over a defender's back?

I don't care what a player's max vertical is. How many times does it really matter in a game?

So Gordon's max vertical is about equal to his FT%. That seems like a much more important (and alarming) stat to me. Gordon can never be used as a closer in a game. His terrible percentage is going to cost a team 5-8 pts per game. Does his defense make up for it?

Yes.

Is Bob Knight the announcer with the voice like he's either worked in a coalmine all his life or easily outsmokes a whole bar and getts easily excited?

Probably, easier to identify by the guy who preaches ball fakes every time somebody missed a shot.

Been watching Vonleh today and have not been impressed once again. Floats way too much on the perimeter. This game is probably one of his worst though because of foul trouble (but holy crap he was so dumb to pickup that 4th foul).

Has a lot of tools, but don't see an "it" factor.

That's one reason why I like Randle. Dude plays with that "Ima cut your throat" mentality.

Just browsing through the boxscore and I see some guy Tarik Black. Some of you talked about him a little bit in the offseason when Kansas was discussed. Why exactly did he transfer from Memphis in the summer? And why isn't he redshirted?

I do like Vonleh's shot and I will give him some slack because Indiana looks kind of crappy as a team.

The whole Indiana team is visibly confused as to what they have to do on offense and it's kind of comical.

Vonleh showing off the handle late w/ a nice dribble drive from halfcourt followed up by a coast to coast layup

LaVine is halfway thru another no-show thats a few in a row for him...

Prediction: Kentucky 61- Florida 57

Hey PKM if your around can you give us an update on Dakari Johnson hes been solid lately

parker's been very quiet in the 2nd half. i have yet to seen him completely dominate the game. he maybe too unselfish. i wanna see him demanding the ball and take these final shots. i really hate seeing him play 5. i know duke like going small, but i want him to play 3 just once.

Anyone else just see that dunk King Jabari just threw down on Maryland? My goodness... Very Lebronesque.

His nasty take it to the rack mentality is exactly what we need. Especially since Burke and Hayward have decided to become stationary perimeter shooters.

A franchise wing who can score from anywhere and who is mentally tough. Think King Jabari would let Delonte give him a wet willy?
