Official Trades that are Official Thread

Stifle Tower

Punch Bowl Re-Filler
No rumors please. Let's just post trades that actually happen and reactions to them.

First trade to go down is Marcus Thornton to Nets for Reggie Evans and Jason Terry. Link below states the trade has been submitted to the league for approval. Thornton has also already made a "Hello, Brooklyn" tweet.

Sacramento: Not much impact to the tank, IMO. Thornton's role has decreased and the Kings want to see more of McLemore. Neither player has shot the ball very well this season.

Nets: desperate to try anything to improve. Hoping a change of scenery will resurrect Thornton's game.

ESPN obviously agrees with me. The trade has not affected the win% of either team according to their Trade Machine.

Reggie evans and jason terry?

Thornton could be huge for the Nets. Guy can score. Change of scenery was definitely necessary-- too bad he isn't join going to a much better coach.

I think this hurts thier tank assuming terry is healthy and can play

Terry > thornton.

Thornton is one of my lease favorite players in the league

That's the thought process. I'm just wondering why Sacramento was motivated to do the deal. They really don't gain anything. I guess the thinking is that smaller expirings next year may be easier to trade or combine in different scenarios.

I think Terry was brought on to help tutor I. Thomas. Reggie Evans is a tough hustle guy and will probably help push their young team in practice.

How big was the snickers bar? Unless it was king sized, you got pwned.

False. Popcorn is cheap as hell if you buy in bulk. The snickers bar was regular size, probably cost a dollar and change at a gas station.

Plus a snickers bar is portable and has a lot more energy value. I ate it in class today as I was getting sleepy and it really helped me out. That same teacher isn't going to be too happy if get up in the middle of class to go to the break room, pop teh popcorn, then eat it in class.

A. The smell would be distracting and everyone would be jealous
B. Writing notes with buttery hands would be hard.

I would say I won the trade by far.

Popcorn may have been stale. I'd never do a trade with CyTo; he's just too sneaky.

Edit: Ah, a microwaveable bag. Yes, he definitely came out ahead. I was thinking maybe a bag of the good stuff from Popcornopolis.

What are you, some kind of popcorn elitist?

Trade Grades:

Cyrone Torbin: A-
As Spycam1 mentioned, the one way to improve this trade for Torbin would have been to demand no less than King Size Snickers. Still, Cyrone will benefit from increased caloric intake during class, possibly leading to higher test score percentage. The undersold value of this trade is that Cyrone will not get caught acting unlike himself later today, and when he is sitting in class, and wondering why he can't go anywhere for a while, he can grab a snickers.

Lidney Sowe (Cyrone Torbin's roomie): A+
At face value, this was a calorie dump for Lidney Sowe, but let's look a little deeper into this trade. Lidney has long been planning on buying a bag of delicious buttery popcorn to eat while watching the ice dancing finals rerun from the olympics, but recently found out that, due to his unpaid tax bill, he would not be able to purchase the popcorn. With this trade, Sowe is able to accomplish his goal of butter fingers, as well as apply about $0.89 to his tax bill from the saved popcorn expenditure.
