What's new

Game Thread:The Utah Tankers at Tanking Vs. The Indiana Blue Steel Pacers!! 4:00PM

you really think burks wants to be the 6th man with his talent? he's gona get up and get the **** out.
This ^

He wants to start. He has the talent to do so. He will leave if the Jazz don't figure out how to get him into the starting lineup. You'd think it would be easy to see how well it would work, you know, with a season where winning and losing doesn't really matter much.

Plus I think he likes being a 6th man. Any way you slice it, he will never be as much as focal point as he can be off the bench. I think he likes it.

no he doesnt like it.

he will start on a team.

he has talent.

he is better than hayward and hayward starts.

JR Burke is just feeding their run with all these quick shots. Why does he keep trying to bank those shots? They're always off.

Not better than Hayward. He is a better scorer than Hayward and can take advantage of bad defenses. All those things point towards an excellent 6th man.

Why are we always being picked apart by never getting back? I get that Corbin is stupid enough to not figure this out. But you'd think our backcourt would eventually get tired of these cherry pickets and get back. Sigh

I agree that Trey needs to stop taking a one handed tear drop banker. What are the odds that shot goes in. I bet he's shooting under 30% on that shot.

But when I came into the league, I did think I was gonna be a starter."

And when asked if he feels like he's ready to start on a nightly basis, the ever-confident Burks didn't back down from the question.

"I feel like I am," he said. "I'm a lot more mature than I was — I was 19 when I came in (to the NBA) — and I feel like I'm a lot better player now so I feel like I am."

"That's what I come into the NBA every year to do — start," Burks said. "So I'm not going to set my goals any lower. I want to start."

Just because he's willing to be the spark off the bench doesn't mean that he's happy with that role. It just means that he's a professional who is willing to put his team above himself. If anything, that fact makes me hope he becomes a legit, starting #1option even more.

Beating best team in the NBA, complains that our rookie PG is trying to take bank shots.

Alec Burks has double our starting PG's assists today.

Typical of yourself, celebrating a minor short term gain while ignoring the long term health of the team. We all know our 1 pt lead isn't going to last. The Packers are goin to take us out. And JR Burke isn't playing good point guard ball. We need a distributor not a chucker from the PG spot

too bad this season aint about winning or losing.
but about developing jefferson.

only in utah a veteran would get 30 minutes in a losing season when we NEED to develop players.

You are a complete dumbass.

My link is broken. Glad the Jazz are ahead.

The Thriller and DutchJazzer are terrible.

That is all, carry on.
