What's new

Break out, or fluke...

Remind me what our record is when he starts due to a Favors injury? I'll give you a hint... It's not good.

Do you think there is even remotely a possibility that we lose all those games when Favors is out because, say, Favors is not playing? Good hell, how do you expect to win games when Jeremy Evans and Rudy Gobert are replacing Favors? Those two are probably really nice guys, and fan favorites, but they kind of suck at basketball right now.

Put Kanter in the starting lineup for 30 minutes a night, and bring favors off the bench for 18 minutes a night... You tell me what happens.

In little words some Jazz fans were expecting that Kanter carried the team on offense and he were a beast on defense at the same time as Favors! (I mean when Favors was out)

Remind me what Favors' record is when he starts without Trey? Oh yeah, we we started 1-14, or 1-21 if you count preseason games past Oct. 8th.

Now remind me what Favors' record in the starting lineup w/o Kanter coming in off the bench...

Point is, people throw around that ridiculous stat like it actually means something. All that you can clearly deduce from it is that our team wasn't healthy and didn't have all of its firepower. It does not mean Kanter shouldn't start, or Favors' is a hero.

I'm not a Favors' hater (just check my alias), but I've been disgusted a few times this year by his lack of effort.

You know its srs when Sexual Favs start ****in wit da font sizes.

Hide your/kids/wife/husband etc etc

Favors defensive presence has been a factor on Jazz wins this year but nobody can argue that statistically speaking Favors and Kanter are having similar offensive stats....despite Kanter coming from the bench and having a reduced role.

Why the hell would you do that? Why not just play them both 30 minutes per game? Kanter plays 25.5 mpg right now, and averages 12.2 ppg, Favors plays 30 mpg, and averages 12.8 ppg. Kanter is not the reason why we don't win games when Favors sits or has a rough night.

If you think Kanter is the reason we are losing games, then, like UGLI said earlier, you are completely ignoring that we have lost almost twice the amount of games we have won this year.

Stick to being UGLI, UGLI.

I agree with UGLI. There are other factors related to the won-loss record besides Kanter, and I'm not even sure Kanter is related to it, at all. In last night's game, it was his scoring that brought the Jazz back and kept them in the game in the first half.

You know what really sucks?

Kanter isn't considered a PF/C in Fantasy Basketball. Let's talk about some issues that matter. He is only a C in fantasy which is BS.

I'm curious to know what happens in your opinion

We are forced to out score teams, Kanter tends to make more mistakes and isn't the passer Favors is. Not saying Favors is a great passer, but miles ahead of Kanter. The offense runs better with Favors. Jazz play a better 2 way game with Favors.

Not trying to hate on Kanter, and I'm sure some of it is coaching, but Favors is the better player and brings more to the team and is more consistent.

But that's my opinion.

I don't know anymore. Kanter has had 2 really good passing games in the past week and a half. He didn't rack up the assists last night, but he had some nice passes, even a cool outlet pass.

Of course there is, But with Kanter in the starting lineup our record beyond bad. Favors does more to help us win.
