So I got an infraction.

My "editing the quoted comments of another poster and adding your own comments is inappropriate and insulting," according to the PM from the mod.

Just 24 hours before my atrocity I made this post:

So are mods allowed to change quoted posts to insult people but not us simpletons?

I "received a fourth infraction for violating the recent enforcement of the rule against slurs," according to mod's post in the tell us who got banned thread.

So, if my post was insulting does that mean asking if someone is straight is insulting? Isn't that homophobic? I thought THAT'S what was being "cracked down on."

If my post used slurs does that mean "straight" is a slur?

If a rule is against slurs and includes no-nos that most people wouldn't expect can we at least get a list?

I don't expect to understand why the rules are made around here, I'd just like an honest list of whats acceptable and who it applies to. Thank you for your time.

Editing a lame graphic that you simply pulled off the internetz is a far cry from changing another poster's actual words (and using DONG, no less.)

You're right Bronco, your instance was an actual insult, mine wasn't.

So is 'dong' the slur we can't use? Shouldn't it be in the filter then?
 
I would REALLY love to quote Bronco and edit it to make it funny, but I've been the victim of unfair moderating as well, and can't afford my final infraction over a slur.

Do you honestly believe you were penalized solely and specifically for using a word that isn't even in the filter?
 
Anyway, I got an infraction last week which was completely and utterly ****ing garbage. That hack catracho gave it to me. It was incredibly bogus. But I didnt contest it because I know the gestapo is not going reverse it. Im sure Sloan Brow is or was behind it. That dude has it out for me after I completely decimated him on the board when talking about his boy, Sloan. Whatever. "This place is dead anyway..."

I honestly don't know what happened. Hence my questions. A little good natured ribbing is taken as a slur when it contained none.

If a mod is changing a quote it seems reasonable for other members to assume that it is ok.

Also, mine wasn't an insult (unless you think being homosexual or heterosexual is a negative thing to be mocked), and yours clearly was. I don;t care that you insulted me, I 'care' about the consistency dude or ma'm or your personal identification.
