I look at the Sixers and not even lebron could get them into the playoffs. Their roster is turrible.

Even if the jazz land outside of 3 but inside of 7 they should still be able to move up. Look at it this way, if you're the bucks/Sixers/etc you could have wiggins, Parker, or Embiid... And then be fired in a year because your talent deprived team still sucks...

Or, you could have your choice of Burke, burks, Hayward, kanter, favors, plus the jazz's picks for this year which would bring you immediate wins and save your job.

If I'm the Sixers or bucks and have a bazillion holes to fill, I'm giving the jazz their 1 player and laughing myself all the way to next season completely overhauling and improving my roster and saving my job.

True, I might have given up the next big player. But at least i will live to see myself as gm for the next year or two.

I won't live to see that day as their gm if all I can manage this summer is get Embiid or Parker.

It will probably take 2-3 years for Embiid, wiggins, and Parker to hit their primes and for me to fill in all the other holes in my roster.

If I'm the jazz's gm, I celebrate because I just gave my solid role player filled roster exactly what it needed, a go to player.

You know if you said Cleveland I'd agree. But the Bucks realized that they're going nowhere with their core and since they have the unique chance to enter a better decade with a couple of high draft piucks they're taking that chance. Expect them to be bad next year as well. Not #1 bad, but #5 with an unproductive rookie with a crazy ceiling, an "about to be traded" Larry Sanders, a slowly improving Brandon Knight and a just as slowly improving Adetokunbo.
Same for the Sixers. Next year they'll be slightly improved with a healthy Nerlens Noel, MCW in his 2nd year, veteran Thad Young and their newest collection of picks from this summer. But they'll have a 2nd year with a bot 3 record. Their owner and GM want that. After that asset collection period it'll count for them.

I bolded my picks. If those teams win Orlando will in 3rd. 2 1/2 games behind them are the Jazz and Lakers tied for 4th. A 1/2 game behind them is Celtics and Kings tied for 5th. Then the Cavs 1 1/2 back in 6th.

Orlando should be able to take care of MIL.

Tied for 4th will be exciting.

I liked Locke's comment that Sixers starter did not start in the DLeague before the Sixers signed him and we were tied with that clown car with 3 minutes to go in the game. Bascially it's like the Jazz beat the Reno Bighorns Saturday night.
