I'm just glad to see the program on the up swing. It seems like things are slowly getting back to normal. Next year should return the Utes to their rightful place.

We are a year ahead of schedule. Utes are back. Huntsman Center was packed all year.

With every key player returning (unless Delon loses his mind and wants to be a 2nd rd NBA pick), and some really good looking recruits coming in, I'm predicting a top 4 finish in the Pac 12 next year and wouldn't be at all surprised if we won the Pac and made a deep run in the NCAA tourney.

Delon Wright named First Team All Pac 12 and All Pac 12 Defensive team.

Much deserved.

I'd probably wear the **** out of it. The D-Will days were so ****ing awesome. Use to cream myself after every crossover.

Utes are good, but still think they can't beat the better Pac-12 teams on a neutral court (unless a team like Arizona is resting players for NCAA tourney).

It's been a good year for Utah to build on but I'm encountering more and more Ute fans who are wringing their hands at the prospect of Utah missing out on the tourny. I take no pleasure when I have to tell them that Utah doesn't deserve to be a tourny team this year. I understand what Krysko was doing with the soft OOC schedule but Utah has to pay the price for playing Division 14 schools.

They've made huge strides this year and I am thrilled with the direction but this is not the year to be talking tourny. Hell, for the sake of team growth and experience, I'd probably rather see them win a few games in the NIT as opposed to a one-and-done tourny appearance.

Why would that be losing his mind?

Does he really have a chance at being a 1st round pick next year? If he was a guaranteed 2nd rounder, it would probably be better to leave.

Got to win more than 1 road game all year to make the Tourney. Will be interesting to see if they can even do work on a neutral court.

I don't give us much of a chance at all against Arizona, even they we played them tough at their house and took them to OT in ours.

UCLA and Oregon would scare me, but I would give us at least a 30-40% chance against either team.

We are better on a neutral court than every other Pac 12 team doe.

Agreed that we don't have room to complain because of our schedule. We simply did not know we would be anywhere near this good so fast. Tournament resumes were the last thing on our mind when making our schedule.

The thing I'll say about tournament resumes though, is that the metrics they use to measure teams are obviously flawed when taking out just one of our cupcake wins and adding a loss against a top 10 school would send our RPI soaring. I get it, but still. It worked in college football because you have to play tough teams AND win to be ranked high in the BCS, but its stupid that adding a tough loss would do so much for our tournament resume and put us right on the bubble. Also, if Ball St was a 15 win team like last year instead of a 5 win team, we'd suddenly vault into the top 50 RPI. That's dumb. Whether a crappy team like Ball State won 5 or 15 games this year shouldn't be a huge factor in determining how good a team is.

If he develops a jump shot he's a 1st rounder and a good NBA player.

He seriously can't shoot a basketball.

Soooo risky to enter the NBA draft if you can't go 1st round.

I trust he'll make the smart decision (even if that's going to the NBA) because he and his brother Dorell are close and he will obviously have some wisdom to share/can put out better "feelers" at Delon's prospects through his agent than some players might be able to. Whatever he does I won't blame him at all, I just actually think for his NBA prospects its better for him to stay another year, and of course I want him to stay so we can dominate next year.

I have my worries about us winning away from home too, but we did just beat Cal at their place last week, a team fighting for their NCAA lives.

2 road wins bish.

Not that I really care, but how come Gonzaga and St. Mary's played each other in the semis? Did St. Mary's actually finish fourth in the conference?
