Really only saw one defensive play that was really impressive in that video (the first possesion) 2 times wiggins traveled which had little to do with smarts D (both of those plays it looked like smart was beat if the travel wasn't called). Another play wiggins got to the free throw line. Another play wiggins spun around smart and got into the lane and missed a shot. Another play wiggins blew by smart and smart made a nice play to poke the ball away from behind, which was a nice play, but he was still beat on that play. Another play wiggins got alot of space and hit a jumper.
That first possesion was really good defense by smart but the rest of the video seemed to be mostly highlighting wiggins just struggling more than it highlights smarts amazing defense
You know the definition of a flop is that there was no foul while you try to get one. In this case Wiggins lowered his shoulder into his chest. Smart just sold the call so the refs wouldn't miss it. Smart play!
I disagree. When you exaggerate the contact to "sell" contact is flopping.

I think Smart did a decent job. I loved his effort but Wiggins made a lot of mistakes so it looks better for Smart. I go up and down with my feelings towards Smart. I love his toughness but I don't like his size. I don't think he is a PG so he most likely will play a lot of SG and that is where I have a problem. Yea I think he is an above average defender but I just don't think he is a very good shooter. He isn't going to be able to bully his way to the basket in the NBA. I like him around 7 but there is no way I would take him top 3.

Just say you think that video is full of average d.....have you seen many of his other games? He is elite. He is. He has two elite skills one is his d and the other is his ability to get to the line. Then he has intangibles. Extremely coachable, fierce competitor, wants to be a star. I'm telling you, if you are down on him you are overlooking a special player. Plus KKK hates him which is enough reason to know that he will be mega.

Nope it is not. That's selling the call. If I'm mistaken you even can get T'd up for selling calls to hard. But it's a smart thing to do.
Flopping would be tricking a ref into whistling contact that never actually happened.
There's like tricks to sell calls. Like when someone lowers his shoulder into you, you simply move also into the player so the contact is harder and the fall looks more natural. That's smart play and I root for players who play hard, take the beating and make sure as many fouls that occur against them are actually called.
You every play basketball bro? Players get beat on purpose against guys w/ weak handles to do that. It's an easy way to get steals if you have quick hands and your man has weak handles (Like Wiggins has).
