Following potential 2014 draftees

I have little faith in UK.. but to say any team, particularly this year, is unbeatable is dumb.
Like Cy.. but maybe not as bad.

Can somebody please tell me what happened to Randle??

He looked like a beast against Duke Mich St beginning of the season. Whatever happened to that guy?

Seems to me there is something psychological going on with him... you dont go from a sure fire potential All Stars to who he is now in just 1season.

He gets doubled a lot and has absolutely zero right hand which makes him really predictable.

Even so, he's a nice player. He reminds me a lot of Millsap, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Getting frequently triple teamed and his poor court vision/Passing shows.

not doubled, tripled. And you're right about the one armed bandit

Some interesting points about Aaron Gordon via Chris Manix of SI:

Gordon, who has drawn comparisons to Shawn Marion and Blake Griffin, is a strong defender and relentless worker with off-the-charts athleticism. But his shooting is a legitimate issue. Gordon had made one three-pointer in 14 games before going 2-for-2 as part of a season-best 10-of-13 performance in a victory at Colorado last week. He is a minimal threat from mid range and is making a cringe-worthy 41.1 percent of his free throws. At 18, time is on Gordon's side. But until those numbers improve, he remains a risk.

IMO Aaron Gordon is much closer to a Kenneth Faried type then Blake Griffin or Shawn Marion

UK is going to smash Wichita St. on the boards.. If Randle didnt have his career low 4points they'd have won yesterday too

Randle HAS to tighten up his dribble and learn to dribble lower in a stance... in addition to the triple-team and no right hand comments.

This.

UK is going to be dangerous because they rebound better than anyone and get to the line a ton. Those two things will make every game close as long as they're hitting some outside shots.

*IF

In the two games against Tennessee and Alabama, Wichita St. rebounding right around the same level UK did against those two teams.

The edge will be in favor of UK in that category, but I think Wichita is too mentally strong and team rebounds very well, so I don't think it will be a big enough disparity to really change the course of the game.

probably been talked about a million times already, but what happens if jazz draft embiid? Kanter or favors gone?

not sure if this belongs here or in a separate thread

Probably getting way ahead of ourselves though. K-State, by all accounts, has been the better basketball team through the year.

I think UK will win, but it will be close.

Exum is as fast as Rose, and taller/longer. He's also less selfish and a better distributor.

I'm not saying Exum is an equal athlete to Rose and Wall, but his potential impact on the game is elite. It depends on work ethic and mental toughness. When Wall and Rose came into the league, neither was a great shooter or passer. Exum is a guy who can really play.

I have Exum as #4 on my board, and would gladly play him ahead of Burke as a starting PG.

exum is faster than rose? that's like saying jeremy lin is faster than rose in straight line because of 3/4 numbers.

rose is an elite athlete. i don't see that from exum's tape on youtube.

Yeah, saying Exum is faster than Rose is a really bold statement, and not one I feel confident you truly know 100% what you are talking about. It might be true, but probably isn't.

Right now, anyone talking about Exum, is just talking out their *** IMO.

That's not entirely true, Cy. Mainly true, though.

Exum is NOT faster than Rose, imo. Nor is he 'as' fast.

This is a WILD comp (and everyone knows I hate comps anyway..) but Exum reminds me of Parker. I know it's WAY dumb, that's okay. He's just soooo crafty with the ball and lots of offensive tools. Yes he's totally a different athlete/player... I just like the offensive tool box and the craftiness around the rim.

I mean, yeah there is film, but what is the Australian League that he plays in? How do we compare those leagues and then compare his speed to Rose?
