Following potential 2014 draftees

Only Gordon and Randle remain in the tourney (of the potential Jazz picks).

These players are still in the tourney and could be a potential GS pick.

Willie Cauley-Stein
Gary Harris
Nik Stauskas
Montrezel Harrell
Adrein Payne
James Young
Kyle Anderson

Noah was also one of the most passive players I have seen out of the projected lottery picks. Blame IU all you want, but Vonleh wasn't being enough of an alpha on the court to demand the ball ever.

passive??

The scout said Vonleh "always plays very hard, with good energy and a good motor," citing his rebounding ability as evidence of that.
thats not passive

what do you mean not demand the ball ever? he posts up and calls for the ball all game long... im starting to believe your just making stuff up at this point

Andrew Harrison is position-less and can't shoot that well. I don't hate him, but I have no idea what his game is. Seems like the twins are at their best when going to the rim, but I'm never amazed at any of their moves. They are the definition of average to me.

He and Aaron will both prove to be good shooters.. around 39/40% from 3. Young has chucker in his blood... he'll save you one night and kill you the next.

You probably couldn't. It's a sign that he has shooting ability. Julius Randle shoots 18% of an attempt every other game.

Tj Warren shot 51.9% from three last year on .8 trys. This year 26.7% on 3.3 attempts. And he's the best guy in the NCAA this year on mid range floaters or sth.

Would be interested if that's the shot selection that Coach Cal wants him to take?

I think Andrew would be a nice pickup for a contender in the late first, we've seen a lot of bigger developmental guards go late first.

Was this draft class so hyped that now it's underrated? People are down on every one of these guys.

I don't get the Randle hate in particular. If he measures close to Kanter's height then he's going to be a handful when he gets some footwork down. He has the athleticism that lacking is Enes' main Achilles heel. If he's there at seven then that's a damn nice take at the spot in any draft.

I think there's zero chance Anderson is there for the GS pick. He's a love-hate prospect in my eyes. Some teams might question his fit/position, but I think some team in the late lotto will fall in love with him and scoop him up.

I must say, I've been underwhelmed by these players are are supposed to save our franchise, or any other franchise who happens to draft them. I'm beginning to conclude that this draft class has been badly overhyped. I mean, Wiggins can't even get off more than 6 shots in the biggest game of the year so far. Really? He's going to make a winner out of a team like Milwaukee? Parker can't carry his team past the first round of the NCAAs. Embiid is already fragile. Randle looks good, but not one to turn around a franchise. And who the hell really knows about Exum?

Am I the only one who thinks these guys may (not for certain) just be a tad bit overhyped?

Basically. The top 7 is as good as it gets, really.

As far as Randle goes, he's more athletic than Kanter, but it's still a concern. And he'll measure close to 6'8 and a quarter inch according to fabtrey.
