Fes 3-16 FT? Seriously?

Fes played well last night. Another game where the starters are getting solidly beat.
So then the bench comes in and gets the lead back. They were playing great. Why didn't Sloan let them keep playing???? An why do they run play after play through Jefferson, when he is having trouble scoring against a tall defender, and he is not a great passer? Why wasn't Millsap drawing his 7 footer out to the 3 point line? Ah, the timeless mysteries of Jazz basketball. I liked the Watson Williams combo. If Deron is looking for a great shooting guard to help him win games, maybe that SG is Deron!

Yea, 3 for 16 is abnormally low. I'm sure that would improve up to a more normal low % with more playing time.

...the problem with Fess isn't that he can't hit his free throws......it's the fact that he's really just a big white stiff! He doens't block shots.....doesn't grab that many rebounds....isn't an especially good passer. He's a space eater with few basketball brains cells....and quite uncoordinated to say the least. He comes cheap.....and can be used for practice purposes to balance the floor...you know, make it 5 on 5! Now, if he was a dominate low post offensive threat...and couldn't hit his free throws.....then it would be a problem!

Big hands dont help a jumpshot and i doubt your kid has the same big hands. You wanna see how it feels go out with a mini ball and shot 10 and lets see how many ya make

But his 7-year old has tiny hands. It'd be like you shooting FTs with a beach ball. I'd like to see how many of those you'd make!

Ho-Jazz is right.

This league has no room for a big, strong, 7+ footer who beats the crap out of everybody in the paint, but doesn't hit most of his free throws.

They call it Hack-A-Fess.

Send him to Turkey. I hear Iverson needs a center.

You are so cleaver with your Ho-Jazz comment. Did that take you a while to come up with or does your mom just pop into your brain when you think of me?

SWEET! mom joke! damn, I just love livin' in the 90s. I have you seen South Park? f&%$@in' hilarious.

When I was playing basketball as a kid, I had a hard time hitting freethrows in a gym that could only hold maybe 300 people max. I bet there is a lot of pressure when you got 19k staring at you Booing or cheering you on. I don't know if I could do it.

I'll pass the word on to the Jazz brass. You're now officially screwed if you were planning on being drafted.
Thanks for your honesty, but you'll never be a professional basketball player.

He did have like 7 rebounds in just 11 minutes last night. If he played 30 he might have had 21 rebounds. Not really but this was the wrong game to bitch about his rebounding.

Also he does block shots and more importantly challenge shooters at the rim.

....trust me, he's got about a 90% chance of playing in Turkey! He's big, we'll give you that! Strong? Well, I don't know what he can bench press....but he's so uncoordinated that it negates his biggness and strength! It's virtually like playing 4 on 5 offensively. THat's why he gets so few minutes.

CJ, ya musta missed Fess's spin moves last night, eh? They was spectacular, I tellya. Like, the hopperiest, ya know!? Fess ROCKS

Are the Mavs somehow better at guarding free throws than other teams?

I think he means, does the 7 year old shoot 50% with 20,000 people watching him, and on national tv, when he's touched the ball maybe five times that night in gameplay
