Nice list. Nothing to nit pick. I'm not as high on LaVine and I'd move Austin up about 5 or 6 spots... but I like it.

How many "franchise players" are there then? In modern NBA history? By that definition.

Last 5 years by that definition: Lebron, Kobe, Durant, Wade, Nowitzki, Rose, KG, Nash, Parker, Duncan, CP3, Amare (prime), Yao, Dwight (2010), Curry (last year), probably Carmello, probably Pau Gasol, maybe Harden, maybe Westbrook...

Next Tier: Brandon Roy (peak), Paul Pierce, Paul George, Blake Griffin (starting this year), Aldridge, Love

Decent List. +Rep.

Which Harrison do you have at #19--Aaron?

Also, what's the news on Hezonja entering the draft?

I would play Smart at the 2, then move him to the 1 when Burks comes in for Trey.

I don't think you can play Smart ahead of Burks or Hayward at SG. He gives up size and offense against other teams' starters. I know he's a scrappy defender. If he could shoot almost like Brad Beal, then we'd have something.

No, he doesn't. Height is so overrated. He has the same wingspan and weight as Hayward.

And Hayward would still be in the starting line up, he would just be at SF.

Burks is the instant offense guy off the bench who can play next to Burke or Smart.

I could see all of us getting excited as Dallas, Memphis and Phoenix pass up Golden State. Then the Jazz finish strong, picking up a win at home against a struggling Portland team - dropping them to the #9 spot, defeating LA on a last-second three from RJ, and winning the last game at Minnesota as Love plays unispired ball and Marvin goes off for 28 pts.

Ty, Locke and Lindsey emphasize that the momentum carried forward into next season far outweighs the benefit of finsihing 4th in the lottery standings. Jazz finish 8th, drop to #9 after the drawing and reach for McDermott.

You could do it, but I don't like it. Smart may have the same wing span has Hayward, but his wings are 4" or 5" lower. Burks isn't going to like watching Smart struggle from the bench before coming in to score a quick 10 pts.

How is Smart supposed to get his points against wing defenders?

I'm confused. Duncan and Parker can carry a team by themselves but they are teammates? Lebron, yes, but Wade sans LeBron or Shaq? Westbrook sans Durant? Amare could carry a team by himself but Peirce couldn't in his prime? Genuinely confused. Am I reading it wrong.

I'm using what I undertand is your definition. You're saying Peirce couldn't do it until they got Allen and KG right?

No idea what you're trying to say.
