Following potential 2014 draftees

Was just checking some of the mock draft sites for updates. Played the lottery game on ESPN and got Utah at #1 the first time (Parker). Second time Utah was #2 (Parker again) and Wiggins went #1 to Boston. Maybe Jazz should send ME to the lottery.

Wiggins coming up #1 for everyone except Utah and Cleveland. Parker is #2 for everyone else except Orlando and Sacramento so far.

I don't put any stock in that stuff. There are teams, fur sure, that would take Embiid over Parker, and I'm sure there are still some that have him over Wiggins.

lol at you guys...

hearing for the first time in several days that Jabari will declare. I'd move the needle to 75% just due to smoke. (here come the jokes)

I think Jabari seriously weighed the options and had intent to go either way, but I still think he's going to declare. We'll know by next tuesday or wednesday at least.

Look at the standings and cheer as GS lets it slip away. Let's hope the Lakers somehow win tonight (or at least hurt Curry or Thompson).

I bet he will come out. Going back to play against inferior talent for a whole year won't help him as much as getting in an NBA strength and conditioning program.

To me, Marcus Smart is a cautionary tale against going back, even though he will still go top 8. He went back, played a little better, and still got eliminated because his team couldn't give him any support. If you're a top 3 consensus pick, you are set for life with just your first contract. Get that money and improve your game at the highest level.

Reminds me of draft prospect Alec Burke with a better outside shot but does not like contact. Not sure we go here given Dl's focus around building around defense.

How do we know Lindsay's focus is on defense? I mean after all he traded up to draft Trey Burke and his well documented refusal to play defense.

Going into college Zach was listed at 6'4" 170lbs, Jeremy Lamb 6'4 165lbs, Alec Burks 6'5 170lbs, Michael Carter-Williams 6'4 175lbs

Will Barton who was almost was a 1st round pick, at the combine measured 6'6" 161lbs

according to this NBA playermetrics page, Kobe was 174 lbs as a rookie (https://www.nba.com/draft/2012/prospects/anthony-davis/ - click on the comparison to Kobe)

- this is 17 year old LaVine at 6'2"

compare it to a recent pic

i dont see any reason why hed have trouble adding 15-20 lbs, he just turned 19 and is clearly a late bloomer

for a bunch of reasons he reminds me of a taller Josh Selby, with much better combo skills(and without some of the baggage), the Burks comparison is tough because of where they take the bulk of their shots from

Nick Johnson reminds me of Josh Selby too, very similar dimensions/measurables, both suffer from tunnel vision and terrible FG % from 2

u gotta get a shot off there, id be pissed if we waste a second on him id rather have Jordan "0 dunks for the season" Adams
