Dude, I'm glad you had your life changing event. My whole take on the thing is that I don't have the time and/or energy to fight all the battles that need to be fought. I have to pick and choose the ones I fight. This wasn't one of them. Especially since both were in the right and the wrong.
I don't think anybody could ever accuse you of not being passionate. That is one of the things that strikes me about you. Whatever you do, you seem to get passionate about it.

If the Bundies had either stopped using the land or payed the permit fees nothing would have happened. The victim card gets really old when you aren't the victim. This is the last I will say on this issue too unless you want to continue it.

Wrong. For a while it was unarmed protestors. The arms, and militia, showed up in response to the Feds heavy handedness. That in turn caused the Feds to increase their respond yet again. K-9 units, snipers and automatic weapons where there from the start for the Feds.

Correct. Feds started with 200. Before that there was no story. The call for assistance was due to a wtf moment by those not understanding the need to spend so much money on a non-story.

That, in of itself, was THE story for me.. always was. I had no interest in the legal issues leading up to that point.
