Nice to meet ya, catratcho. No, it's not a promo for anybody's gig. A general chat question. Maybe a lead for a few takes on what we can find on the radio while driving around town.
I spend a lot of time down in central Utah, and there's a good station with a variety of talk shows we don't get up here. I like the folks who do the program for a little "homeopathic christian ministry". But the FDA/FTC shut them down because they were just too simplistic in discussing how chemo kills. Oh well.
He was right.
I figured out a long time ago I might not see anything back on my FICA. I don't want to ever be dependent on bureaucratic benevolence.

About 8 years ago when I lived in Texas I used to listen to Beck when he first started syndicating - I thought the right wing had finally reached the bottom of the barrel with this jackass.
The fact that he is as popular as he is truly disturbs me.
I don't listen to the radio anymore - I have a 3 minute commute to my office.

After my grandfather passed on, I found a letter he had written where he was complaining that SS was not enough to live on, and that it was wrong of congress to use the SS "trust fund" as their piggy bank. He was right.
It's an oasis of sanity in a medium that celebrates those unmoored from reality.
