What's new

Yesterday - Bundy Ranch

Just want to say, again, that when the **** hits the fan, I want to be side-by-side by the ****ing crazy doers and not the passive higher idealers.

I miss the glory days of law enforcement. Andy Griffith would just walk in their without his sidearm and lead them cattle out one by one.

The Sheriff in my neck of the desert would still do this.

About twenty years ago, he had to evict some non-taxpaying landholders from an extremely isolated private spot in the desert. . . . he went in single-handed. The yayhoo-ers warned him off, shot at him even. He went in and handcuffed them, and put them in his Sheriff's van, and drove them off to jail.

I told him once how someone threatened me with a rifle, and he was about ready to go arrest him for assault. I said "Nah, don't do that. No need. He learned his lesson."

The Bundys in this case are fighting for their principles with words. They are far from the kind of people who would need to be handcuffed if a Sheriff came to take them in.

So, to ratchet it up a little, nay, lot, you side with the Taliban. They have a very well understood set of ideals that many would claim aren't right. They're crazy doers and things sure do go down where they're at.

You do realize the reason the libertarian utopia is not popular is not because of this message, but because libertarianism fails in practice? (we tried it in the 1800's)

Also, I how does outlawing unions lines up with libertarian philosophy. Your brand seeks a society with no checks on capital. Am I missing something?

We didn't try it in the eighteen hundreds it was already in place. The south wanted to keep it this way while the north was busy doing the same things England did to the colonies in the 1700s. Politicians started pork barrel policies and placing heavy tariffs on southern needs to serve their election and re-election interests. The south seceded, which was their constitutional right, and the north won and ended any hopes of a libertarian utopia.

Labor is a commodity just like any other item at the grocery store. Unions distort the labor market just like a price floor distorts the bread market

I will address this when time permits, but I will say, for now, that I have some timeline issues... but much more importantly you, like many others are grossly missing the point due, mostly, to taking at face value what the media is feeding.

You keep on saying that everybody is missing the point, but then you never state what the point is.

C'mon…be specific. What is the point?

You must have a tiny brain and tinier penis, tbh.

You guys must be trolling.. forreal. Please tell me that after 15 pages you still can't know...

All I'm asking for you is to state the point that you think everybody is missing.

If you've already stated it, and I missed it, then show me.

I have mixed feelings about it all. I don't want the Bundy's to be given an inch IF they don't deserve it. I didn't like the way the feds started this thing out, I loved the support the 'little man' got, but as I've said earlier, I want the correct and reaponsible outcome.

I don't want Americans to believe they can assemble with guns and whomever has the most firepower wins.. that's certainly not a sustainable or responsible enterprise (duh). I also don't want elected officials to feel they have power over the people.. rather than to serve the people.

That's the outcome I wanted for this. To have the feds acknowledge they handled it wrong up front and do an internal investigation and provide findings to the people as to what they were thinking/intending. To seek a way to allow both sides to win.. and if such a way isn't reasonably found, to take the land from Bundy (swiftly) with a detailed plan in place as to what is to be done with it. If nothing, fine.. but if there is an intended purpose, be transparent about it.

I mainly hope we learn something, grow from it, and be better for it.

Bumped for retardhantlers.

You guys want to complicate the issue and keep baiting me with your trolling antics... gosh.

Forreal tho..

Btw.. I SRSLY invite anyone that wants to go to the Bundy ranch this friday. Will be life-changing/ending. :)

I'm taking 50 pizzas and heading back down to hang out. And I am completely srs when I say you will be forever changed.

Isn't that what tons of people have been saying though? I don't think that point has been missed.

I feel like you're just saying that the feds screwed up, and the militia hasn't exactly helped any, but that they just need to settle this and be done? That they need to quit wasting our time?

I also think it's odd that we (or some people here) want to prop up the "little guy". The same "little guy" who broke the law for 20 years. The same "little guy", that when he got his assets taken away because he didn't pay the fees, had a militia come on down that was ready and willing to try to keep the government from legally taking those assets. I'm all about people having the right and freedom to do as they wish (for the most part), but I also think we have to follow the law.

I think both sides are stupid, the feds and the Bundy's. If the feds had handled this right from the get-go, maybe we wouldn't have this problem. However if the Bundy's had paid their fees, we definitely wouldn't be having this problem. This isn't exactly a difficult case/decision, so I don't understand why anything is still going on over there, or why we're still discussing it.

Money.

But yeah... that's what I'm saying. All the above. Only thing I'd add is that maybe bundy deserves one more audience to hear his pitch... and then be done with it all. I don't care so much the outcome, but that the 'trial' is FAIR.

I might be inclined to sympathize with the farmer but when he's got an armed militia ready to start a firefight he loses me. These guys are real nutters: https://www.mediaite.com/tv/foxs-hannity-stokes-tension-between-harry-reid-and-cliven-bundy/ holy **** what freaks. This guy starts talking about the Blood Moon? I love how Fox News is openly instigating a shootout, by using crazy right-wing internet sources. Hannity is practically drooling for something crazy to happen. If the left was doing this with a Black Panther type group could you imagine the backlash?

Just stfu. Srsly. Stay the **** out of the thread if all you can do is link a fed article and talk **** bout nothing.
You live in utah? Just curious.

Yo PKM.

I was following this whole ordeal and like you, I agree both sides were definitely to blame. That said, the escalation by BLM was complete ********.

The fed conspiracy knows no bounds! They control the whole internet (even and especially Jazzfanz!). You think the feds are just going to let farmer dale get away with this? No. This is coming straight from the top. Obama's involved--he's been targeting the Bundy's & other irrelevant "freedom fighters" for years. He wants to give the white man's cattle to the Black Panthers. The Blood Moon is a sign. The reckoning is upon us. Arm yourselves my brothers and sisters, prepare. This is where we draw the line. FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM

Yes, I do.

What about his previous legal proceedings do you deem unfair?

It appears, and I say this while I'm looking at his papers, that his legal arguments are all frivolous.
