Following potential 2014 draftees

Let it be known that if DL somehow decides to draft Smart (Heaven forbid), I will try to embrace him as a Jazz Man.

....., but it doesn't mean I'm happy about it.

we did? (I assume so, since you've said it)... but I've been at the Bundy ranch all day and know nothing.

PKM in his new attire.

I had a vision on my long drive home. I was driving on auto pilot, and somehow managed to not go off the road.

It came to me.

We are getting the #1 pick. We are going to have the #1 pick in this draft. The Utah Jazz.

These thoughts just hit me like headlines. I foresaw the future.

The Utah Jazz are going to draft first in the best draft in 10 years.

We will have our pick of Wiggins and Parker.

I know it to be true.

I just had an experience like this.

We're moving into the top 3. We don't need to worry about this whole Gordon/Randle/Smart/Vonleh stuff.

What i find funny about this is it makes it seem like none of the other prospects have any interest in the different nba destinations at all. Is he the only one that knows the difference between any of the franchises?

Andrew Wiggins stated when he won high school player of the year that the Toronto Raptors would be a dream come true. Does that mean everyone before that is going to be afraid he won't show up?

I actually thought about this the other day. Being 2 or even 3 comes with a lot less pressure.

And then there's also the possibility that you have D-Rose and Michael Beasley which could have been a "too close to call" if Chicago didn't have the #1 pick...Guess Miami would have preferred being #2?

Exum's ability to pass is vastly underrated.

I think he's similar to John Wall from an overall perspective. He creates mainly while driving, not so much out of stationary play right now.

I just don't get that whole xenophobic Exum hate. If many scouts are high on him that probably means something...
And I don't mean the Mary Jane by saying high...
Also I think if he develops a signature finishing move we should call it something with kangaroo in it...

1. Parker
2. Embiid
3. Wiggins
4. Smart
5. Exum
6. Randle

Jazz now have 81% chance of getting a top-5 pick, 99% chance of getting top-6
One of those stars will come to Utah!

Or start Burks and have Smart as the 6th man.

This is what i would do and then adjust the dynamic if thier production dictates

Josh Huestis moved into the 2nd round of DX's update yesterday

3 and D potential, hopefully the jazz work him out. Josh caused all sorts of issues for Wiggins(1-6, 4points, 4 turnovers) in the tournament

With Burks not being a real good shooter, and Hayward's being inconsistent, and Burke shooting less then 40%... Smart seems like a bad fit in Utah. Seems we need to draft shooters at the wings.

Smart is the last guy of the top 6 -8 players that I want on the Jazz. Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Exum, Noah V., Randle, Gordon before Smart.

I genuinely want Exum considered, league wide, to be in the mix with the Wiggins/Parker/Embiid group as far as potential franchise cornerstones when the dust settles. That obviously good for us, especially if we pick top 4.

That said, I'm looking over a lot of film from him lately and some of it is convincing me he will be very good and some has me thinking he will be less than great. My biggest concern is, IMO, he isn't an elite athlete.

Now walk with me, Exum lover, and realize I'm not trying to player hate, just trying to talk myself through this in the early stages.

Positives:
-first step
-ability to breakdown a defender, one on one, and collapse a defense (this is obviously huge)
-Length/size
-Passing (seems to find the best shot on the floor)
-defensive upside because of said length

Negatives:
-not elite athletically
-not considered a shooter at this point
-a good deal of unknown or lesser than competition (yes, and some very good)
-looks to play out of control at times

I think come combine and individual workout time we will hear a lot more about how he currently looks and how much he's grown just in working out with Kobe's trainer. That said, if I'm his agent, I very much limit anything athletically at the combine and am pretty strict on individual workout parameters. His stock is very high right now and he has more to lose than gain.

Again, I truly hope he creates a "big 4".
