Following potential 2014 draftees

The Bucks got it in recent history so why not us? GOD?!?! WHY. NOT. US?!?!?!?!?! *sobbing, on knees, in the rain, looking skyward*

Well I would be ok with the 2nd pick and probable the third pick in this draft. Being the number one guy comes with a lot of pressure for the player and organization. Look at OKC, they were bummed that they didn't get the #1 instead they were the franchise that didn't have to make a decision and they ended up looking like smart guys. Portland has to be reminded they passed on Durrant. So sometimes it is better to pick second especially when there is no clear number one pick.

I actually thought about this the other day. Being 2 or even 3 comes with a lot less pressure.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I'm at.

I do think Vonleh/Saric/Nurkic have a chance at bumping Randle down though. I would probably put Vonleh > Randle right now, but I'm iffy on it.

I'm excited that we are going to get all the top guys coming to do workouts, and a bunch of other players around the 23 spot. Who know who will rise too! I think Embiid will be back into the top pick after the workouts too.

Don't individual workouts happen after the lottery drawing has been done? If so, and the Jazz don't move up, I doubt Parker, Wiggins or Embiid would come to Utah. And unless LA moves up, I'll bet Exum refuses.

If Exum refuses to workout for us I'll punch that bitch-made Aussie in his nose. If he does workout for us I retract the physical threat.

Exact same for me. Though, I'm not sure Randle deserves to be ahead of Vonleh. I'll have to look at Vonleh some more.

Parker vs Embiid is a good debate, too. If we had the 2nd pick, it would be really hard for me to pass on Parker, even though I know Embiid has a higher ceiling.

Is the feeling around here that the Bucks have the same issues as we do r.e. kids like Exum (presumed) and CP3? Say they fall to 3/4, do you potentially see Exum refusing a workout as well?

Doubt it. Being an Aussie, I'm sure Exum would be happy to light one up with Sanders.

On a serious note, sure I'll be disappointed if the Jazz don't move up. But if they drop just one spot, that wouldn't be too bad. Provided Exum goes #4, Jazz then have 4 very good prospects to choose from and can pick the best of the bunch out of Randle, Smart, Gordon and Vonleh.

Yup, we're in a good situation. Especially after winning the random draw today.

This.

That is a nice group to work off of. (except Smart)

I feel like a new man!!! Oh and....

Wiggins
Embiid
Parker
Vonleh
Gordon
Randle

I refuse to put in Exum, as I've only seen highlights. Not saying I like or hate him, just no anything about him, and don't trust highlights.
