Following potential 2014 draftees

He'd be a great pickup so late in the draft, but I think I would lean slightly more toward Adreian Payne.

Guess it also depends on who we take with our first pick. A big means no room for Payne.
Early or Payne would be great value at #23 - or it may require throwing in the #35 and moving up to have a chance at either of them.

Since 2000, only three lottery picks have won a championship with the team they were drafted by.

Dwyane Wade, Darko Milicic and Andrew Bynum

Hayward, Burks, Burke and Kanter safely continuing that trend.
We definitely need to keep Favors, though. Since we didn't draft him, Jazz have a shot at winning a championship with him on the roster. The rest need to be traded.

Cleanthony or Payne with GSW pick would be outstanding. There are going to be some solid player still on the board at that point.

What the? Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan account for most of the rings since 2000...

Not to mention Dirk and PP.

All of them won rings with the team that drafted them.

I don't get the point.

Technically Kobe and Dirk were not drafted by their current teams. They were drafted by other teams (Charlotte/Bucks) and then traded to their current teams (Lakers/Mavs). Paul Pierce and Duncan for sure should be on that list.

Yeah he's raw, but boy is he a tantalising prospect. I wouldn't mind him with our 2nd round pick.

Tavares is going to be good and very disruptive in his minutes, like Rudy. theres no doubt in my mind hes more coordinated than Hasheem Thabeet, i think hes 1st round quality

6.1ppg, 6.9rebs, 1.7blks .5stls, 60% from 2, 73.2% from the FT line in 20.9 minutes as a starter in one of the best leagues in the world. pretty good considering he never picked up a basketball or wore sneakers before 2010

I stand corrected.

I believe it's top 4 picks. ( I read an article about the merits of tanking to get a higher pick )

Duncan was drafted in '98

by the way, is anybody else as high on James Young as me ?

KJ Mcdaniels please

after watching Tony Allen who measured 6'3½ w/o shoes and 6'4¼ in them at the combine check Durant last night, i've been thinking maybe KJ McDaniels could contribute at SF right away for the Jazz.

we could use someone who contests shots on the perimeter like his job depends on it, McDaniels is that guy

I was very impressed with his play during the NIT .... definitely someone that we could have spot up in the corner on offense and play very good D on the other end .... would also do very well in transition.
