Following potential 2014 draftees

He's underrated by people like you, because he played on a weak team in a high profile conference.

As an Illinois fan who watches Big10 BBAll I can tell you this about him. His guards did not feed him the ball enough down low, He is an excellent defender and he is super young for his class.

If Randle's measurements come in long and big at the combine then he will be flying up my draftboard. Its quite possible too. He is still so young. Could be growing still.

Randle is being treated a little bit like how Parker is being treated around here. Way too much nitpicking at their games. We are talking about very young kids still, who play like grown men already, and are far better prospects than other kids most years. . The future could be very bright for both Randle and Parker.

If Randle were drafted last year, he would have easily been the number 1 overrall pick. Thats another thing to consider here.

1. Wiggins
2. Parker
3. Embiid
4. Exum
5. Smart
6a. Randle
6b. Gordon
8. Vonleh
9. McDermott
10. Stauskas
11. Saric
12. Harris
13. Ennis
14. LaVine

If Vonleh measures in at 6'10 or higher, he will go ahead of Randle and Gordon on my board.

I agree with your second to last sentence but not sure how it matters here.
I am basing my opinion of Randle mostly on his lack of length and explosiveness.
He has a very nice skillset, but he gets off the floor slowly and moves a bit too slow side to side.
I do think he'll be good, but I'm just sliding him down because of a pedestrian ceiling to his game.

Saric being put above Randle is pretty questionable.

I'm more making a board for the jazz than an overall draft prediction. I like Smart much much much more than most and dont like Randle, but it's not like my opinion means much. Whoever we draft, whether I like them or not, I will give them a chance to prove me wrong.

Zach Randolph is a perfect comparison. Both are double-double machines, both are un-athletic, both are left handed and both use similar shots in the paint to get shots off against good defenders.

I want to be sure I'm being fair to Julius. . He does have some nice upside in his ability to play in the open court and in transition. Hes great at ripping the rebound and advancing the ball quickly down the floor..

I was prepared to see an explosive Randle this season. Fair or not, when it didn't happen he really dropped in my book.

This is all true. I'm sure an up tempo team would really want someone who can do that.

Mine du jour:

1 Wiggy
2 Embiid
3 Exum
4 Parker -- maybe goes to 3rd if he's in great shape
5 Randle -- very close with Vonleh for me, probably Randle gets the nod for quickness, aggressiveness and intangibles and the fact that he could shoot in high school
6 Vonleh -- could rise in workouts
7 Gordon v. Smart

before he got hurt in the 2013 NIJT Belgrade Inglis was averaging 23.7ppg, 10.7rpg, 9.0apg and 1.8bpg, in the first 3 games of the tournament

I wish there was more footage of Inglis playing D but im sure the Jazz are familiar with him. He's been on the map for a bit for an 18 y/o. he did get plenty of rebounds, blocks and steals on his U16 and U17 teams, and certainly has the tools to get the job done

if he were to kill it in workouts/the combine i could easily see him in the 1st round, he seems underrated to me tbh

I hope the Jazz can get Inglis or Porzingis...it would almost be poetic.
