We deserved this.

I know it's lame that Cleveland got the #1. They didn't deserve that. but we completely deserve the #5.

All year long folks were upset at Jazz management not firing Corbin and going to full tank mode. Instead, we fooled around and pissed away another season and ended up with another "nice" piece.

Now, we are forced to resign Hayward and our "monster draft" will probably come off the bench next year (Vonleh, Smart, Gordon, and Randle don't start over the stuff we already have).

This upcoming season will have to be what this season was supposed to be. A rebuilding season with a new coach and a full tank.

Next year will have to be our tank year.

I say give up Hayward. Keep the salary cap clear. Tank the hell out of next year. Win less than 10 games. Trade assets. Guarantee ourselves a franchise player in next years draft

I'm tired of drafting nice pieces. Smart, Vonleh, Randle, Gordon, can't even start over the garbage we already have. They make little to no difference next. Nice players, but not franchise players.

If we want to build a culture of losing, then we need to maintain what we have been the past few years.... Too good to get a high draft pick. Not good enough to make the playoffs.
 
now i hate Cavs more than any team. how's this even possible?

i'm fine with pick #5. but i'm not fine with cavs getting #1. that's just retarded.

It's this kind of attitude that has prevented us from truly tanking and developing our young players. It's exactly this that is perpetuating this culture of losing.

We could have torn this bandaid off fast. Instead, we are making it as slow and painful as possible.

The Cavs didn't tank and look at what's happened with them.
 
Based on draft history, the chance that any of the top 4 becoming franchise players is very low. It is also likely that one or two of the top 2 are going to be a bust or at best serious under achievers.

Maybe Lebron sends an encrypted message to Silver he will go back if the Cavs get Wiggins. Lebron can play out the rest of his career at PF and bring home several championships next to Irving and Wiggins. Its the storyline that makes the NBA a ton of money.
