Following potential 2014 draftees

I like Exum too. I think his impact will be close to that of John Wall. All Star potential.

I don't know.. but guys I trust (mainly Pacers scout) say he's between a Curry (fluid, no rush) and Wall (total fast and too quick).

wtf does that mean??????????? No idear.

I just think Embiid is a risk when players like Wiggins, Parker and Exum are on the board. The reward is there with Embiid, but there's also some potential that he'll miss games.

I say Jazz are taking Vonleh. Like, done deal.

FOR THE JAZZ... (not MY BPA)
Vonleh
Randle
Saric

At 5 I want Vonleh, end of discussion.

Maybe Smart, maybe Saric. Then Gordon, then Randle.

I think either Exum or Jabari will slide. I really, really could see Vonleh jumping in the top 4. Why? I don't think very many people would be surprised if Vonleh was a top 3 player in this draft 5 years from now.

OUR best case scenario is Exum., tbh
I respect your opinion, and your one of the few I'd listen to as far as Exum is concerned, with that said... I've come to terms with the fith pick, and he's fourth on my big board and feels he has as much upside as the top three guys, and the good news is we'd probably have the chance to sweep him up with the fith pick.

He fits what we need perfectly. He's a true 4, he may have no problem guarding the stretch 4's while still being able to guard the bigger 4's. If we need him to score in the paint, he can, if we need outside shooting, and dribble penetration he can do that as well, and he defends, or at least has a rep for being a good defender and rebounder. He can potentially be a matchup problem no matter who guards him. He's quite possibly the most versatile player in the draft. I think he will be a special player as most here think Wiggins Parker and Embiid will be special. I believe he's our pick, and think the jazz will fall in love with him as I have.

Anyone notice how Rigby described the #5 pick after the lottery?

His words were very much along the lines of:

"The number five pick is very high risk, high reward...maybe there is a team that is willing to move up to take a chance on a kid at #5"

That doesn't sound like Utah is looking to swing for the fences. That sounds like Utah is going with Randle or trading down to take whoever is left out of the "potential" kids (Vonleh, Smart, Gordon) and pick up a vet.

Ugh. Good old post Miller Jazz.

I'll see if I can find the clip.

I lied. It was Dennis Lindsay.

The quote:

"There's plenty of talent of there, from an upside standpoint, where it may be a little riskier to speculate, an IPO stock if you will, in this case...there is ready made, more polished players that may be a solid double to compliment our group. And I think because there is both alternatives there, the gunslingers may want to move into five there, and we will see what they will give us...so I think we will have a ton of conversations, and a high bar on how we value that pick."
