What's new

For real doe... It should probably be Randle

When 2 players have pros and cons, and are similar in the final tallying analysis, I go to heart and determination and fight, etc. Because at the end of the day I'd rather pick a fighter when going to WAR.

On that basis I go with Randle.

I assume you mean Randle vs. Vonleh.. rather than Davis, right??

Yeah, it's close based on what u said, srsly. Vonleh has the clear upside, Randle has the clear hunger.

Yes forget about Davis, he's not part of the discussion.

I think Randle vs Vonleh is a great debate in this draft... If I have to pick one I'd definitely pick Randle though. We need that kind of player on our team. We don't need another "Derrick Favors" - a great athlete for sure, but he just doesn't seem to have that "drive" that I look for in a player.

I wonder if PKM suffers from 'nitpick-ism' by being too close to the UK program and seeing all of Randle's flaws.

Sometimes you're too close to the trees you can't see the woods...

Another example is another woman's short skirt is more appealing than your wife's naked body.... wonder if that's the case with Vonleh and Randle right now.

lmao.. I got accused for years, on this board, of homerism. That wasn't true and neither is what you said above.

I can separate college from NBA.. HS from College.. and 'project' what kids will do. I'm certainly not always right, but I am not slanted in my views.

Which explains why you've been really overcompensating it lately.... and you will never admit it. As an example, UK made it to the Finals game with some fantastic plays, and you made no song and dance about it neither. Now all this nitpicking on Randle?

It all makes sense.

How did Randle, who led his team of young freshman to an outstanding tournament run, all the way to the championship, only to lose in heartbreaking fashion. Go from consensus top 3, to maybe top 5?

He faced double and triple teams as much as anyone in the NCAAs, and the shooting around him was suspect.

I have learned to never listen to hotttnickkk. At first he seemed like a nice guy, and while that may be true, it has become clear to me that he doesn't know very much about basketball. He sure does have a lot of opinions, though. You guys are nice to put up with the act.

LOL... Sup NAOS/Huge-Size... pretty sure that's you.

Since everyone has brought up Randle's "will to win", let's say Utah takes Randle at 5. Vonleh goes 6, Gordon goes 7, Sacramento is on the clock at 8. Does Sacramento take Kanter and Burke for #8? That gives you:

PG - Smart vs Burke
SG - Hayward/Burks
SF - ??? vs ???
PF - Randle vs Favors
C - Favors/Gobert vs Kanter

I think we come out better at every position except maybe, PF. Maybe. Sacramento gets another ball hog in Kanter, and a good PG situation in Thomas/Burke.

Eh. Just wasting time here.

Nah if that's the case SAC will just take Smart at #8.

They do need a starting calibre-PG.
