Following potential 2014 draftees

i lied. It was dennis lindsay.

The quote:

"there's plenty of talent of there, from an upside standpoint, where it may be a little riskier to speculate, an ipo stock if you will, in this case...there is ready made, more polished players that may be a solid double to compliment our group. And i think because there is both alternatives there, the gunslingers may want to move into five there, and we will see what they will give us...so i think we will have a ton of conversations, and a high bar on how we value that pick."

that prick!!!!

Hmmm...he keeps harping on this. Just looking for an excuse to trade down to justify McDermott?

(Some) Orlando fans think the Magic will take Smart at #4 if Wiggins, Parker and Exum go top 3....leaving us Embiid at #5 if we want him.

That was my thought. Take Randle at #5, or trade down and take McDermott. McDermott is the in the Sac/Char/Philly range. What would it take for one of those teams to move up?

Nothing. That's what they have. Man. That. Sucks.

Apparently both Sacto (8) and Boston (6) are willing to trade their picks for a proven player. Lakers (7) may follow suit.

I put this in another thread. Take Randle #5. Trade Kanter and Burke for #8. Take Smart with #8.

Smart
Hayward/Burks
???
Randle
Favors/Gobert

I think Smart's length is elite for a PG, but I think he'd struggle as a SG. On offense, he'd be like Dion Waiters with less shooting touch.

So, have him play PG. He is a bigger, faster, more competitive Burke. I'd trade Burke for Smart.

Here is how the draft will go down:

1. Wiggins
2. Embiid
3. Randle, because we can dream, right?
4. Exum or Smart, because Orlando really wants a PG
5. Jabari. It is fate. The Jazz are getting Jabari. Book it.

And if Jabari really wants to play in Utah, he will show up for workouts weighing 269 pounds, and tell DL that it was his plan all along, and he has tape worms on standby for as soon as his last workout is over. Then we draft him at 5 because Hotkkk got to all the teams and educated them about fat tongans.
