Where did you get your Masters?

Grand Canyon University. If I remember right it ran about 6-7G. Most of the teachers and admins I know that is the norm for price. I think Phoenix runs about 8G.

Surprisingly, the stuff from my Masters is some of the best educational info I've run into.

But in the context of teaching getting your Masters is almost always better than not getting it. And I don't know where u get your numbers but mine didn't cost tens of thousands. Some are great and can't be found elsewhere but it is true that some are dumb and the training you get via the district works just as well.

My Masters has paid for itself ten times over already.

Let me rephrase for you, Dick. I am not a wealthy man. I make enough that my kids eat, live, and play. I take my wife out every once in a while. I buy myself a burger every once in a while. But I also drive a beat up 90's pickup truck. I have the free cell phone that came with the cheapest package. I eat homemade sandwiches for lunch every day. I don't go to Jazz games as much as I used to. I'm poor.

That being said, Dick, I love my job and my life. I've been blessed with a wealth of good people and good times -- but not monetarily, which is due to my lack of education. Stay in school, kids.

Look, the bottomline is that if you are a teacher then getting your Masters (and other education for that matter) is a good investment. With other careers maybe not so much. Just wanted to make that distinction.

Now if you want to get defensive and knock on my education cuz you don't have yours then whatever. I just hope you aren't so defensive and vindictive with your students.

Im not sure I understand Frank. How can you say its not a valid point in the context of teaching, when teachers make so little?
