That's nice to hear, thanks.

Not a good comparison.
Marvin was a pure potential pick. It didn't have much to do with what he did on the court. He didn't even start for his own team. Jabari is far better than Marvin was.
Those were his per 36 stats. Thanks for catching that.
Lol. Marvin shot 51% FGs (Jabari 47%), Marvin 43% 3pt (Jabari 36%), Marvin 85% FTs (Jabari 75% FTs). Jabari scored more points and got more rebounds because he played 31 mpg to Marvin's 22 mpg. But make no mistake, those shooting numbers for a 6'8" athletic forward were lights out - he did it in the ACC - he produced - to call him a pure potential pick is silly if not just completely ignorant.
Lol Williams played 22 minutes per game, how can you say he was not picked on potential?
Cool.
Per 48 mins Gobert would average like 8 blocks.
In other words, worthless stats.
Look at what Burks actually has done. If you could get Jabari for burks, you take it. No other GM would be stupid enough to not.

Big difference between Burks projected 36 stats having played 28 mpg and Gobert having played 9 minutes. Try to keep up there, Thriller.
Also, I posted Burks per 36, not 48. Gobert's per 36 blks are at 3.4 FWIW.
Is ANYONE on this team going to be anything more than a solid starter?

Hey all you Fat Jabari Conspiracy Nuts. Check this out from Jonathan Givony of Draft Express...
Yes. Definitely not out of shape. RT @nsanba: Jabari Parker seemed to have lost some weight in the pics. Did it seems that way to you?
Who's saying they wouldn't trade Burks for Jabari? Its Burks plus #5 plus another picks that people don't want to do. Thats a hell of a lot more then just burks.
Man I'm becoming one wishy washy **** lately. That's pretty much my opinion on the 5th pick of the draft as well. I'm fine with all four guys, though I have an order of preference.
All that matters is what he actually did.
I don't give a damn what your 12, 24, 36, or 48 mins stats say. That's the point. They literally mean zero.
As much as the Jazz may try to trade for Jabari, I don't think there's much chance they're successful.
Jabari is probably the safest pick among the top 3 players. The GM who passes on Jabari to take Vonleh or Exum, with or without Burks, is putting himself in the crosshairs. Why take that risk if you're that GM, even if you're not 100% thrilled with Parker?
I don't think any GM, based on what we know today, wants to be the GM who passed on Jabari Parker and took Vonleh or Exum instead.
It's ASSUMED the Jazz want Parker. But do they?
Everyone links Parker to the Jazz because he's a Mormon, just like everyone thought Utah wanted Fredette and every white player gets projected to the Jazz.
