Following potential 2014 draftees

I do not have the link, but Hoopshype has Orlando bringing in Smart for a second look. If it is not a smoke screen that could be big for us.
The Jazz should be on the phone trying to trade up. Something that won't hurt but Orlando will bite on, say #5 and #35 for #4. Then if Exum leapfrogs a top three, We are sitting pretty.

Can Vonleh make trey quick enough to get by his man and drive the lane? Serious question.

Maybe he can give him a slight push in the back after screening, so he's getting more explosive!

What's your thoughts on Birch? Has a great warp projection and is a monster defender/rebounder. Shade over 6'9 and had added about 30lbs of muscle since his freshman year. I'd love to see him play a Steven Adams type role for us and believe he could.

Love Jordan Adams though, been following him since his AAU days and he was always lights out.

I think Adams decision to enter the draft is good. His skilllevel is high, his weaknesses can be best addressed by NBA teams where NCAA regulations fall short.

I always liked Khem Birch, i know of him for awhile, as a recruit and then I can remember seeing him at Pitt, my initial assessment was definitely 'this guy looks like an NBA player' I can remember being amazed with how well he could run.

IMO he belongs somewhere in the 40's or 50's. I can see why he declared this year, without offensive improvement next year he would have been turning 23 going into that draft, there was plenty of room for error.

I think Khem can stick, he plays defense and rebounds, serviceable FT shooter, that's a classic formula to hang around.

Best-case for him is maybe... Amir Johnson.. i think thats spot on and could happen, hes going to need to play 4 for a long career though.

I gotta say though if im looking for Defense and Rebounding in the 50's, i prefer stashing Moussa Diagne, whos got legit C size. for a team like the Knicks, Khem could be a perfect match and really outperform though, hes got a decent shot at making it as a 2nd round pick imo, I wish he showed more improvement on offense in all these years, but i guess thats why you get him in the 2nd round

I doubt a player's draft status changes a lot if they stagnate between Jr and Sr season.

What if New Orleans offers #9, #45 and next years 1st unprotected for #5?

how about #7 and next years first from the Lakers?

would the Celtics consider #6 and #17 for #5 and #35, if Exum fell?

how about #8, Ray McCallum and next years 1st top-5 protected for #5?

NO afaik can't trade their #1 for 2 consecutive seasons.
Also wouldn't want that trade.

Sacramento owes their top10(?) protected 1st rounder to Chicago

Don't have an opinion on the Boston suggestion and wouldn't want the Lakers trade.

I don't know his shooting mechanic is still not fluid and very slow. Maybe it's improved.

I like Doug a lot. I think he gets forgotten because he is a little bit of a tweener. If he can play SF and hold his own on defense (effort goes a long way) then I think he can be a very dangerous weapon. I don't know why Sactown would just give up their eighth pick because I would have no problem taking him in the 8th spot. They need outside shooting really bad. He would help Cousins big time.

I want him on the jazz

I would be ****ing shocked if he could play SF. Like, waaaaaay shocked.

Stauskas brings the ball to low on every shot.... i dont like that.

Mcdermott is as pure a shooter as you will ever see. He will have a long and good career in the nba
