What's new

Quin Snyder is the new coach

Lost in all of this is that I think this hire lends itself even more to the fact that Smart could be our guy at #5 with his size and ability to run his defender into a wall.

Christ, how bad do you feel for Snyder for when Locke basically ***** him? He's going to so badly want Snyder to be impressed with him.

Look for Hayward's numbers to go up though without Locke "awkwarding" all over him all next season though.

DL is late. Tough spot for an interview if no official announcement yet, but everyone knows.

Edit: Horton is the producer, if he says no Lindsey...well he would know.

Austin Horton @austinhorton
This JUST in: Dennis Lindsey will NOT be joining The Big Show NOW (maybe later) as he is "in negotiations" & can't break away.

How long of a honeymoon does he get? If the losses start piling up, are you guys going to call him Dr. Quin, Medicine Woman?

I'm cool with the hire. Has a lot to prove, smart, seems to have a bit of an attitude, young…those are all good things.

I think an area of concern with Messina is that if we struggle, and he doesn't enjoy that, would he leave? Either way, if LA wants Messina, they were going to get him no matter what we did.

Jody Genessy of Deseret News reported that both Brad Jones and Alex Jensen would be taking over increased roles on the sideline:

Pop, Coach K, and possibly a bit of Sloan mixed in, Utah should be a in good hands with Snyder. I would expect him to run a similar offense to the Spurs.
