This is yet another reason to not draft another big.
Lol, don't draft a good player or bring over one of the best Europeans because we have Gobert, the guy who had trouble catching passes and finishing easy baskets.

Until he proves he belongs in the lineup, he's just filling Biedrins spot on the roster.
The Jazz have a quality asset in Europe (two actually) that can help to provide good depth. I'm not saying that this means anything, but if I were planning to trade a bunch of draft picks to move up for Jabari Parker, I'd be making up for losing those assets by cashing in on any others I have at my disposal.
There's only so many roster spots.

Tomic isn't coming over for the vet minimum, and the Jazz aren't paying his Euro wage for the Beeds or Evans spot on the roster. If he's coming then he's getting paid.
If this is true than someone has to go. I expect Gobert to come back better than last year. The kid has a little moxy and he was pissed he didn't play last year. What this means is that the Jazz are going to play either Gobert/Tomic at the center and Favors and Kanter at the PF. Small ball will be Kanter/Favors. I certainly think their are minutes but some guys are not going to be happy.
I also see this as an indication the Jazz are going to either make a trade to move up. Package either Kanter or Favors (most likely Kanter) or they are going to use their picks on wings/PG. Jazz need depth in the backcourt.

Gobert was raw as ****, but he makes plays. Gobert impacted the game in spurts, and showed ability to alter shots, and finish strong around the rim.
Tomic is a speed bump on defense, but very skilled on offense. Tomic and Favors might work.
